WOYWW 597: Vertigo

Welcome to the weekly sharing of the desk which seems to come round ever more quickly.  It won't be long before we are all celebrating 600 weeks of WOYWW with Julia who keeps us in check and organises the link up each Wednesday on Stamping Ground.

The week didn't start off so well for me with a feeling of nausea and vertigo which came and went in waves.  I spent Monday and most of yesterday in bed, but it's back to work today as it appears to have gone for now.

Luckily I had already completed the drawings for days 9 and 10 in the Drawcember2018 series.  My desk today shows the start of day 11 - ornate tree.  You may also have noticed that I have doubled my Washi storage.  I have decided to put my TH collage paper rolls and some of my most used pens and tools into the drawers as well as my Washi tape.  I managed to catch up with #1 son briefly before lockdown and drop in his birthday present and card.  He was on his way out to get a haircut so we didn't manage coffee in the garden, but are hoping to catch up after lockdown for a belated, socially distanced celebration.

I won't be visiting until tomorrow as we have a Twilight Wellbeing session after school this evening so I won't be home until later than usual.  Stay safe everyone.

  1. impressive washi storage! I don't have a lot, a few rolls of Tim's tissue tape, an the odd washi I've picked up but they are not at all organised. Glad the vertigo has improved enough for you to return to work. Take care and stay safe. Helen #4

  2. Very nice display of washi Sarah a lovely sight to greet you when seated at the craft table. Bice sketch again, your doing so well with your daily doodles. Good news that the wretched vertigo has gone not a nice feeling. Take care & hears to lots of lovely meet ups with our family very soon Hugs Tracey xx

  3. Glad you are feeling a bit better Sarah, hope returning to work is not too soon.
Love the washi storage - where did you get that from - mine is all over the place.
    Hugs, Neet 5 xx
ps Tracy Evans has some gorgeous washi tape coming out on the 20th

  4. Hi Sarah, glad you feeling better. I have a few rolls of washi tape but don't seem to use it much nowadays. Stay safe and well. Anne x 12

  5. That a great storage unit, could do with something like that myself. I hope the meeting after school doesn't go on for too long, I'm a bit surprised at them keeping you all back the way things are. Glad you're feeling better too. Take care and have a good woyww, Angela x15x

  6. I love Washi tape and spend many a happy time sorting them into colour and themes. I find they are great to use in my planner come journal these days. Take care with hugs from Sue #18.

  7. I’m sorry about the vertigo, I get it and it’s so debilitating - just glad that you’re better now. The washi collection is rather fab as is the storage, I do like it when you can see everything to hand like that!

  8. Glad you are feeling better, Sarah, but don’t overdo it at school today. Think there is an oxymoron in the twighlight wellbeing-all you want at this time of year is to get home and cosy. Take care. I love your drawing journal and look forward to seeing what you have drawn each day.

  9. I have never actually bought washi tape, being away from crafting for so long I can't even remember it. My small load came free with magazines, oh no, I tell a lie! I did buy some from The Works, there was gold and glitter ones, so, had to get it! Hope your vertigo gets better, I remember my bed spinning as a child, very unpleasant... but maybe that was something else!
Stay Save. Happy WOYWW!? ((Lyn)) #20

  10. Sorry about your vertigo - my son suffers from it occasionally - it's very scary! I saw him have an episode once and his eyes were moving all over the place, so I know he's not making it up. I took him to the GPs a couple of times but they were not much help. It comes and goes - something to do with crystals in your ears. Fingers crossed it won't be back! Those boxes look great stacked on each other - darn, now I'll have to get another one too LOL! We can't have enough drawers around and these are so nice and transparent. You're so committed starting another daily challenge! Hope you have a good week, Sarah! xx zsuzsa #21

  11. Hi Sarah, good to hear you're feeling better, my SIL in Australia now, she suffers from this a lot, very unpleasant she says. Like the storage, like Helen, I probably only have half a dozen washi tapes, not really something I've ever gotten into, which is probably just as well, lol. Stay safe, have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 X

  12. Aww sorry to hear about the vertigo, glad you are feeling better today. Love the washi storage
    Ellie #27

  13. HI Sarah, ooh that is so nice that you did get to see him in person even if it was just a wave :) Love how you can see into all the drawers too so, you know which one to start digging in when you want something. ~Stacy #30

  14. Glad you're feeling better. That's a lot of washi! Hope your session goes well. And that you and #1 son will have a great visit!
    Have a wonderful week!
    Carol N #28

  15. What a great set of washi tapes! I hope your wellness session helps your recovery.
Take care, stay safe and happy WOYWW

  16. Sorry to hear about the vertigo, hoping it stays away. Can I ask where you got the storage from, it looks very useful. Happy WOYWW Angela #29

  17. Gosh, I hope you aren’t attacked by nausea and vertigo again, it’s just awful. A twilight well-being session sounds very useful Sara.h, I hope you enjoy! The drawers are looking v useful and v high! i keep the old anti static bag and foam pads in my on the desk drawers because I have a pen holder somewhere under something, otherwise I’d definitely be copying you!

  18. Hi Sarah, you had me checking the year with your mention of Drawcember 2018 ... I thought I'd gone back in time on your blog 😃 I've been enjoying your little sketches so look forward to yet more. Your washi storage is very nice, and tidy too. Have a great week. Hug, Elizabeth x #32

  19. Happy Belated WOYWDW

Hope the vertigo nausea does not return, really love the storage and the drawing is super.

    Take care and stay safe,

    Lilian B #9

  20. Great doodles, you are doing well keeping up to date with the challenge. I love the washi storage, I love washi and have far too much considering I don't use it very often - I like the idea of being able to see what you have through the drawer fronts.
Hope your vertigo doesn't come back, I've had it once and it was ghastly so fingers crossed that is it for now.
Have a good week and stay safe,
    Diana xx #22

  21. HI Sarah, that looks like a perfect storage solution - my washi is all in a drawer so I can't really see what I've got. Love the Drawcember idea, maybe I will see if I can find it online and join in, it's such a therapeutic activity to just do some drawing every day isn't it. Hope your vertigo stays away, I know that can feel awful. HAve a good week. Annie C

  22. Wow! jealous of all that Washi tape! Nice that you can see it through the drawers! Thanks for your visit, stay safe, Lindart #31

  23. Sorry you've been feeling poorly, Sarah, but glad you're feeling better now. I had something similar a couple of years ago and put it down to a minor inner ear infection that sorted itself in a few days. Love your washi storage. I haven't got any, but I did have some TH tissue tape once, that was a complete waste of money - it was completely stuck to itself and wouldn't unroll without ripping in shreds. Not something I would consider buying again! Shame, because it looked lovely.

Thank you for your visit and all your lovely comments, especially your kind words about my brother in law. We're really going to miss him. I'm so glad you want to join in the giveaway!

    Happy belated WOYWW,
    Shoshi #23

  24. Poor you - vertigo is horrible. I really hope that it is gone for good. Love the double up of the looks wonderful. Happy Belated WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#14)

  25. Hope dont lose this comment as my signed in icon is not showing AND am on mobile which usually is okay I'm over blogger.
Wow washi galore. Mine all fits in a strawberry container with few outside it with garden tie!!
Am soooo slow to comment. Days are simply tooo short!

  26. Ohhhh - feel for you! Labyrinthitis gets me too, more often than I'd like to admit!

I really like your washi storage - mines is just shoved in a plastic tub, but I have more tape than tub, if you know what I mean!

Thanks for stopping by - apologies for the late visit!

  27. Great washi storage. I have SO much washi that I have store it in drawers of a rolling cart in arm's reach - it was too much on my table. lol!

Hope your vertigo subsides - I have it, too - diagnosed as BPPV and even had to have physical therapy - a while back. I'm better now - but have to be very careful when leaning my head back.

    Love your desk!
I did not play WOYWW this week - but I still am visiting desks to get inspiration!

  28. Sorry to hear about the vertigo!
I am very envious of the washi and it's storage. However taking your idea I found a drawer mine could go in!
Sorry for such a late call...
Happy Woyww! Stay safe and keep well!
