WOYWW 582: Normal Crafting Service has been Resumed

The school holidays have settled down to a crafting rhythm now.  Blog first thing, craft for the morning, followed by Netflix or back inside for TV catch up in the afternoon.  I am slowly making my way through box sets that have been recorded on my Sky box for years.
Tuesdays are the exception, when Eva pops in to craft on the other side of the desk.  Door and window open and plenty of sanitiser and alcohol wipes available.  I have been working on some new tags as you can see (just about to start 88/100 as the photo was taken).  I also found a photo of the Dalek costume that #1 son insisted on me making for him (for the Nursery fancy dress competition at the Parish and school summer fair), when he first started school.
On the other side of the desk, Eva travels relatively light these days, as she tends to work on Groovi projects when she visits.  These do not require as much equipment as getting inky.  She also brings her own mug.  I did pass on everyone's regards from last week.  We are both very relieved to be getting back to some crafting normalcy.  We should also be able to continue when school restarts, as we both have a day off on a Tuesday (restrictions and guidelines permitting).  Happy WOYWW everyone, I'll be round to visit at some point today or early tomorrow.  Don't forget to pop over to Julia's to see more desks.

My first comment of the day goes to Sarah Brennan! Hi there, good to see you having a plan for your holidays which includes some YOU time. Love the Dalek costume, you did a super job of that, bet he was thrilled to bits with it.
Great tags peeking at us, or for us, and a peek at Eva sitting there crafting. We need one of the other side with you crafting for a change.
Have a great day, a great week and stay safe and well.
Hugs, Neet 3 xx

Your daily routine sounds like mine. We’ve had such fowl weather there’s been no chance of getting outside much.
I do miss being with crafty friends and look to when workshops can start up again

Hi Sarah! That costume is fabulous! Wow, he must have been all the rage. It's really cool. Your tag is so pretty. I laugh at the Shed Happens journal. It's brutally hot here and it is making me not want to do much of anything. Remind me in the winter when I complain about being freezing that I wish for summer. I try not to complain but the humidity does a number on me.I walk around the house like a dazed zombie!! It's lovely that you can have a crafty visitor. I miss seeing my crafty friends in person. For now, Zoom is our only connection. Stay well, my friend.

I'm so glad you are able to get back to crafting normality again, Sarah, and how great it must be to have Eva to craft with again! I do hope you can continue to do so after school resumes in the autumn.

Thank you for your visit and your nice comment. I've got my bladder issues worked out now and have a telephone appointment with the physio tomorrow, but still haven't heard back from Exeter. After what happened last year I don't have much faith in their system! I hope your MRI goes OK at the weekend. If you are adding flax seeds, it's best to grind them to make them more available to your body. I have a tablespoon of ground flax seeds each day but I also have a few whole ones in my granola too, and I put quite a few whole ones in my seedy oatcakes which are delicious! I'm glad you like my second tiny carpet. The head magnifier is brilliant for doing them!

Meow from Lily and Ruby and happy WOYWW from me,

Hi, Sarah!

Something comforting about "almost back to normal" isn't there?

The U.S. doesn't appear that that will be anytime soon. Some crazy people over here!!

Nothing to post for me this week, although I did make my 2 Christmas cards. Some of the weekly themes selected by another make me scratch my head and take a long time to come up with something.

As you design for Clarity, do you get a direction that they want you to go? Or just the product and see what you come up with?

Stay safe! And Happy Wednesday!!

Kathryn

Your summer schedule sounds really idyllic! I'm still finding myself super busy with my job and also helping son with his Maths practice for his GCSEs. I'm not sure about him but I'm getting really good at it! A week's holiday is coming up next week and another at the end of August - though I will probably end up working, just a bit less LOL! Thing is, if I don't do it, nobody else will and I don't want to be overwhelmed after the "holiday" so I just do bits and pieces throughout. Eva looks deep in concentration, bless her! Enjoy your crafty summer and thanks for your visit earlier! xx zsuzsa #23

Sorry I’m late Sarah! Lovely to think of you getting back into your rhythm, and how fab it will be for you and Eva to share a day off next year too. Your 88th tag is good going, admiring your tenacity. Hope the summer holiday is a time of rest rejuvenation and inspiration for you!
