WOYWW 581: School's Out for Summer

Welcome to the first WOYWW of the school holidays.  I must admit that I was ready to break up last Friday.  The classrooms are ready for September, with tape around the teachers' desks and pupils' desks taped in half as well.  I made sure that the departmental digital shared area was populated for the coming school year with resources, schemes of work, knowledge organisers and everything required for catch up and new teaching.
As you can see from my desk, I have finally had some time to work on some more of my tags.  I have been making samples too, but can't share those yet.
As you can also see, I had some socially distanced crafty company yesterday for the first time in over four months.  Lots of cleaning cloths, sprays and sanitiser available and the door and window remained open.  Peter and Tom acted as a barrier between us so we decided under the circumstances not to wear masks, although they were available if the weather was poor and we had to close the door.
Look forward to visiting later today.  If you'd like to take part too, please join us via chief desker Julia at Stamping Ground.  Stay safe and happy WOYWW.

Lucky you to have crafty company!
Mind you I have almost had contact - a Stampin Up lady left me a catalogue on the doorstep!
Thank you for visiting my blog...GFS was the Girls Friendly Society and I was a member through church when we lived in Yorkshire.

It's so lovely to see Eva on the other side of the desk! Hope you have a marvellous day crafting together. I've done the same with friends coming around for a cuppa, through the side gate and in through the patio doors, it's been no problem. Enjoy the first week of the hols, no doubt they'll fly by like the rest of the year has....

Hi Sarah, nice to see you have a crafty friend and good to hear you've got yourself all organised for next term. I'm not sure who Caroyn Dube is but I will find out what she does with the toilet rolls. I've not used my Gelli plates for ages and just getting myself in the mood to get them out again. Might have a go at making a Masterboards. Have a lovely creative woyww, Angela x?x

Lovely to see Eva, and I think your precautions for each other are super. Must have been so nice to have company again (excuse me, Peter and Tom!!). Glad that you’ve finished at school...I honestly think that you teachers have responded, brain stormed and solved and worked as hard As the NHS to deliver learning, you are well overdue for a rest! enjoy, the sun will shine on you for sure!

Hi Sarah
How lovely to have company, even socially distanced. It's not so bad when your crafting is it as you need a bit of space each.
It seems strange to have broken up for summer but I think we were all ready for it won't we. I know the office has been a busy place, especially with Sept new starters and moving all the classes up on our systems. We have to have all the windows open at school when we go back and dress accordingly. We are high up and in an exposed spot so it'll be bracing.
Have a good week

Happy Holidays :) - As usual I have no idea what is happening in September in our school! Lots of building work happening and the inclusion area is being split into three different , smaller parts of the school - separating safe guarding and well being from behaviour. That also means that because we can't have any more staff , splitting up and work on our own in a rota. Ohh well . How lovely to have some company while creating . Enjoy the rest of the week . Hi Sarah, how lovely for you to not have to go into school today - six weeks bliss please don't think about the place for a while - until you have to. Sounds as if the education committees have been busy planning for the uncertain times ahead and lots of work has been done to safeguard all.
Glad you got to have some time with Eva, she has been so missed from your blog, let's hope you have many a happy crafting day with her ahead. Enjoy your holiday.

I'm late in the day visiting this week but it's better than last week's effort lol.
I've spent the day replenishing my basket of face masks...but as soon as I fill them they sell so it's a bit like painting the Forth bridge :-)
So lovely to see Eva has joined you...a bit of socially distanced company does us all good.
Hugs,

Enjoy the holidays, Sarah, and how absolutely lovely to be able to craft in company again! Tom and Peter are doing their stuff, I see, and being Space Lords if not Time Lords, maintaining the social distancing! Your tags are looking amazing, and I love the look of your craft shed too. Thank you for your visit and I'm glad you like my tiny carpet! I've now made a slow start on the second one with plenty of undoing because today I seem to be hopeless at counting (must be the sun) but it's under way now. Glad you like my outfit too! If you are planning on adding flax seeds to your diet, it's best to use ground flax seeds - either do it yourself (if you've got a Bullet or equivalent blender) because it's cheaper, or buy them already ground - they are better digested that way. It is good news about my hubby, isn't it!

Happy WOYWW and Lily and Ruby say meow back,

How lovely to have a crafty guest! I've missed it so much. We've had zooms but it's never quite the same as seeing what others are making in real life is it? Have a fantabulous week! Lisa-Jane #1

Hi Sarah! Getting all organised and ready for school must be a weight off your mind, glad you were able to relax with some crafty friends! And to get back to your tags as well, things look good over there! Thanks for your earlier visit, have a great week! Lindart #26

Sarah those tags are gorgeous. I love the color and the detail. Wow, an in-person craft time.I have only been doing weekly Zoom sessions and I realize I don't miss lugging all of my supplies to crops. But I still miss in-person crafting. Our school has not decided which path to take (tele-learning or in-school or a mixture). They are pushing back our start date and I received a parent survey today. I really don't feel comfortable sending my boys back to school yet. They adapted well to the tele-learning last spring so I am in no rush to send them back. Thanks for stopping by. I am slowly making my rounds.

Happy Belated WOYWW. You must be glad to have some holiday time before the rush of September. This year seems to be going very quickly, despite being at home most of the time. We still aren’t having anyone in the house yet. We set up table/chairs outside for our socially distanced meetings. Not sure what we will do in the winter if COVID flares up again. Masks for everyone? Ali x. #28

Thanks for letting me know about the link, don't know what happened can only think it was because I linked through my mobile later. Anyway good old Julia sorted it out. Gosh you are organised for September. Lovely to see your crafting buddy back with you but I do think Peter should have been facing one way and Tom the other, just to keep an eye on you both. Ani
