WOYWW 525: Life's Short

This time next week I will be sharing my desk from Berlin where I will be with three colleagues and 31 Y8 pupils.  It is the fourth year that I have organised and accompanied the trip, but I still worry about getting everything done and not forgetting anything.  However, having read Julia's and Shaz's posts last week with the sad news about Erika I am trying to chill a bit more.  I didn't ever meet Erika, but I enjoyed her posts to WOYWW as Sumbunneh and realise that life is too short to spend worrying about what might be.  RIP Erika.
I have another alternate view for you all this week.  These trolleys sit immediately to the right of my chair and to the right of last week's view.  They contain my paints, mixed media supplies and regularly used items so I don't have to go far when in the throes of creating.  I have 10 samples to post tomorrow and can relax a little now until after the trip.  I will still be blogging every day but have nearly enough projects finished that I can share while away.  I will prepare all the posts at the weekend so the only one which will be live from Berlin will be next week's WOYWW.
I will be round to visit this evening or in the morning as it is unlikely that I will get much visiting done next week.

These are three of the projects that I sneak peeked last week.  I will share the last one tomorrow.
Before I forget, happy 'BIG' birthday to Helen today!

I remember you went to Berlin last year, but I didn't "know" you before that. Hope you have a great time with the children.

Like you, I was saddened by Erika's death. I just remember she always left such kind and thought provoking comments.

Sorry I don't have any info on your package to me, but I haven't given up hope. Happy WOYWW from #1.

Love the samples!
Well, you just enjoy your trip to Berlin. I am sure you have dotted all the I's and crossed all the T's so everything will go tickety boo.
Love the alternative view this morning - great trolleys - Ikea? Not seen them in black before - my one is the turquoise and has ended up in the bathroom for towels.
Hugs, Neet 6 xx

Hi Sarah. Good that you are trying to chill a bit more. Hope you are able to enjoy the trip - it is a huge responsibility - I know! Great samples. Anne X 14

I know the feeling of responsibility is like no other when preparing these trips so I really do not envy you Sarah, I hope you find time to enjoy as much as the children do, it too only seem's like a moment ago that you were planning last years trip. Hope you can now chill knowing your DT makes are on there way.
Enjoy your journey & Happy WoywW Tracey #17(?)
P.S Super makes btw x

I never organised a school trip abroad during my teaching career. I just kept to more local day trips which still take plenty of thought, but not passports etc. Hope you all have a wonderful time. xxx Maggie (Silvercrafter) #9

I am not jealous of your trip, I am not jealous of your trip, I am not jealous of your trip, I am not jealous of your trip, I am not jealous of your trip, I am not jealous of your trip.

I will get to Berlin one day as it is creeping nearer to the top of my Bucket List!
Have a wonderful time, hope it stays dry for you and the children behave.

I also am a great one for overthinking things before they happen....I'm learning not to sweat the small stuff but Erika's death prompted me to just get on with things. Hope Berlin goes brilliantly!

Your trip sounds lovely and I hope you enjoy every bit of it! I love your carts that are filled with all the things you enjoy and use often! I'm in the process of trying to make things more handy for myself. Seems like it's a constant process around here. LOL...

Have a great time in Berlin I'm sure it will be arranged to the last detail. Love those trolleys could really do with some as the number of times I get up from my desk for items. Suppose it keeps me fit. Ani #18

Hope you are enjoying your trip to Berlin, Sarah. It sounds exciting! Well done for managing to join in WOYWW with all that going on. I love the pages you have done. What a lovely rich purple. I like your trolleys too! Thank you for your visit, and yes, of course - it's R2D2, not 3CPO, isn't it! Must tell my hubby... Can't wait to try it, anyway!

Happy WOYWW,

Those trolleys do come in handy. I don't have any room to add one to my space, but I do like seeing what people put on them. Enjoy your trip! Dorlene #27

Your three samples are beautiful! The depth of the colors makes textures seem to jump off the page! Just gorgeous!
Enjoy your trip! Relax! (As you are able with your young charges. What an unforgettable experience for them!). Happy Wednesday!

Are you in Berlin yet? I am late with my visit due to tropical days in the Netherlands (too warm to sit at the computer in the atelier - too hot to do anything really...) Thanks for your visit to my blog! I hope you have a lovely stay in Germany and that it's not too hot overthere next week! Warm hug from Holland, Marit #7
