Layering Colour on Grey Board: A 3D Effect

I was proud that this piece was chosen to be on display during the Clarity shows on Hochanda on Wednesday (6pm and 8pm) and a close up yesterday (9am, 1pm and 5pm).  I loved working with the stamps and stencils and Maria's demos are well worth watching on catch up.

Give a piece of 6” x 6” grey board a coat of white gesso.
Add a small amount of pink acrylic paint to a glass mat, pick it up with a brayer and lightly add it to the gessoed grey board, brayering in both directions.
Repeat with a darker pink acrylic paint.
Add some Iris paint in the same manner.
Go back in with some of the original light pink.
Pounce Burgundy paint through the Chain Link stencil in three areas.
Use the matching stamp to add Cactus Flower and Thistle Archival inks, keeping the stamp on the acetate rather than using a mount.
Mix a little dark grey paint with Pentart Structure paste and drag it through the A5 Chain Link Fence stencil.
Add Aged rose embossing enamel to some parts and heat emboss.
Add three of Barbara’s word stickers.
Add a 3D effect to the wire fence by adding black pencil on one side of the stencilling/embossing and white pencil on the opposite sides. Do the same with the sentiment stickers to make them stand out.
