Birthday Card using a Master Board and Dies

This card used up the last piece of master board that I created for another project.  I love how it looked with the die cuts.  A very feminine birthday card.

To create the master board, I started by blending Antique Linen and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxides on my mat, spritzing the ink with water and dragged through two pieces of stamping card.
Next,  I added Scattered Straw Oxide with a natural sponge for texture.
For the next step I blended Antique Linen Oxide through the dotty Wave Petite stencil.
Next,  I stamped one of the journaling stamps (All stamps and stencils from Claritystamp) in Wild Honey Oxide,  holding the stamp in my hand.
Followed up by another of the journaling stamps in Rusty Hinge.
Next I blended Spiced Marmalade through the Haystack stencil.
Followed by Brushed Corduroy through the middle of the Shell stencil.
For the next layer, I stamped the smallest stamp from the Alliums set in Rusty Hinge.
Followed by the solid daisy stamp (NDC #101) in Abandoned Coral.
To finish,  I added the Agapanthus stamp (NDC #99) in Fossilized Amber.
I cut the remaining piece of master board to 11cm x 11cm.
I then die cut the Thinking of You Floral frame from a piece of dark brown card (10.5cm x 10.5cm).
For the background mat, I cut another piece of the same brown card to 5" x 5" and used the Martha Stewart punch around the page floral set to add interest to the edge.
The master board off cut was matted onto this.
The die cut floral frame was added over the top.
I die cut the Happy birthday from the Floral Frame die set of the same name and added it to the panel.
I chose to add colour to the white 6" x 6" card blank before adding the panel as it looked too stark left white.  I used Squeezed lemonade, Antique Linen and Tea Dye Distress Oxides around the edges to tie in with the colours used on the master board.
If I had had enough of the master board left, I would have used it to cover the card.

That is such a pretty card Sarah! I thought I recognised the background! It was certainly worth keeping the piece. I must find where I put my left over pieces....or make another masterboard...they are so useful to have in ready!
Hope you ae feeling better today ! xx
