Happy Birthday Sister-in-Law

It is my sister-in-law's birthday today, but as we won't be able to see her until the weekend, I thought I'd at least share her card so that she gets it today - if only in virtual form.

I started with a 17.2cm x 17.2cm pre made white card and a piece of Sheena's stamping card 14.8cm x 14.8cm.  I used a number of different stamp ranges to add the 70 all over the topper, stamping in Black Onyx Versafine ink and heat embossing with clear embossing powder.

Once I was happy with the layout, I placed the topper onto the blank card, added some puffs of Pixie Powders in Peacock Green, Golden Mint and Bronze Blush, and spritzed the whole thing with water, allowing the colour to drip down the card.  Once dry, I matted the topper onto black card, leaving a very narrow border and glued it in place, matching up the layers.
It only remained for me to add a hand written message onto a band of white card, matted in the same way as the topper, and glue it across the card.  The ends were trimmed off and the Increasing in Value sentiment from Honey Doo Crafts was stamped inside.
