WOYWW #404

It's that time of the week again to allow everyone a glimpse into our creative areas and share what's on our workbenches.  If you want to join in just visit our hostess Julia over on The Stamping Ground.  This week the photos are once again from yesterday and my weekly craft session with a friend.  The art journal page that I was working on can be accessed HERE.
You can see the Distress paints and stamps that I used for the art journal layout as well as some bits and pieces in the background ready for class at the weekend.  This was the first time that I had dared use paint in this notebook as the pages are so thin, but it worked out well in the end.  This time I had an excuse to use blue as a background colour (I do use it a lot) as it was one of the colour prompts for the challenge that I was working on.
My friend bought half her craft room with her as you can see from the stack of boxes in the background.  She was working on more toppers using some of the backgrounds that she created last week.  She is amazing with water colours and I always love seeing her finished work.  Here are some examples of what she was working on.  I shall miss her next week as she is unable to come over and craft with me.
