I thought that I would combine the February Clarity New Design Club stencil with one of the Tulip Floral Panels stamps as it has a tulip pattern.
I started by stamping one of the small panels onto a small piece of Clarity stencil card in Jet Black Archival ink.
Next I created a mask for the panel using a piece of mask blank. I stamped the image onto copy paper, laid a mask blank over the top and trimmed to the edge of the frame.
I attached the tulip stencil (#141) to the topper, tucking some of the tulip heads behind the card.
I then blended Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide over the background.
Before removing the mask, I gave the background a quick spritz with water and dabbed it off with a paper towel.
I coloured the tulip with Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer watercolour pencils and blended them with a watercolour brush pen.
Next I added Squeezed Lemonade Oxide to the background and then I added some shading to the stencilled pattern and a drop shadow to the panel using Polychromo #271 (essentials).
I edged the topper with a black Sharpie pen and added it to a 5" x 5" white card blank.
I then added an embedded frame using the 10cm square embedder and the #2 Groovi tool.
To finish, I added one of the KISS words stickers to the topper.
