I always keep my inky and painty copy paper mop up sheets as they make excellent backgrounds. I found one that reminded me of water to get started on my March inky calendar page in my Clarity calendar blank.
I started by adding the sheet to the 6.5" x 6.5" piece of stencil card which comes with the calendar blanks with matte medium and trimmed the edges.
Next, I added the Pond Fish stencil at the top and brushed Salty Ocean Distress ink through parts of the aperture.
I die cut the Seahorse Aperture die (#6 from the discontinued New Design Club) three times from silver / holographic mirri card.
Then I fussy cut the coral and the sea horses.
These were coloured using alcohol inks (Terra Cotta, Sunshine Orange, Valencia).
Two of the corals and the sea horses were added to the topper using a Pritt stick and any excess trimmed.
I then added a very old Clarity verse in Jet Black Archival ink. The verse is available in a different font in the Poetry collection.
It just remained to add the topper to the March page of the calendar blank.
