Leaving for Pastures New

This card was made for a colleague who was leaving for a post at another school.  He ran the chess club which made the theme an easy one!

I added the chess board stencil to a piece of Clarity stencil card and blended Jet Black Archival ink through the squares.

Lost Shadow Distress ink was brushed through the top section and the stencil removed.

I then added the smaller King from the Chess Wheelie stencil in the same black ink as before.

The topper was matted onto Antarctica companion paper trimmed to 7.5" x 7.5".

This was then added to an 8" x 8" white card blank.

To finish I added a black Pergamano rub-on transfer from the All Occasions Sentiments.
