I was honoured that Barbara Gray chose this card to demo on the last Clarity shows on Create and Craft TV. Here is the step by step again.
Die cut a topper from Clarity stencil card using the 3.5” nested squares die and a mat from dark blue card using the corresponding nested squares picot die. Cut an aperture into the topper using the middle nested square scallop doodle aperture frame-its die.Stamp the large individual penguin from the Family of Penguins set into the centre in Black Soot Distress Archival ink. Colour the penguin in shades of blue using Faber-Castell Polychromos (#144, #151). Add shading below the penguin with a watercolour pencil, blended out with a watercolour brush pen. Thread narrow blue ribbon through the decorative aperture frame, finishing at the top with a knot. Mat up the topper. Add the topper to the front of a 5” x 5” white card blank. To finish the inside of the card, add the cool Christmas sentiment in the same ink as the penguin and a couple of hearts in blue ink.
