WOYWW 695: Looking Forward to the Crop

And so life resumes some semblance of normality.  I am so looking forward to the WOYWW crop this weekend and I am sure next week's posts will be full of photos and reminiscing.

The pages of my #dailychallenge2022 journal have turned to cake and celebrating in honour of the get together having been on a space theme more recently.

School is well back into a routine following last week's bank holiday.  Busy with meetings, lessons and books.  It was my turn to lead the whole school assembly on Monday.  Normally I would have taken the theme of European Day of Languages but I decided to go with languages of the Commonwealth instead given recent events and Birmingham hosting the Commonwealth Games last summer.
Please join in with Julia at Stamping Ground to visit desks or even share your own as part of WOYWW. I'll be round to visit as soon as I can!  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW everyone.

I've missed some of your latest daily challenges so it is always good to see them here! Leading school assembly sounds scary but I'm not used to speaking to big crowds of people! Can't wait for the crop it should be really good as always. Helen #1

Oh Sarah that brings back some memories for me. As I was a Head of Year I used to take lots of assemblies can't say as I miss it though. Well done in keeping up with the daily journal too. Look forward to seeing yoy Saturday. Happy woyww, Angela x10x

Love your space- themed daily challenges, Sarah.
I love the sound of your Commonweatth languages assembly. Did you play them ‘Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika’? I always feel a little pride in that as our struggle against apartheid played a very small part in bringing that to its current status.
Enjoy the crop!
Take care and happy WOYWW

Fabulous pages, I'm loving the space theme. Hats off to you taking the main assembly - I can't imagine anything more nerve wracking than speaking to a huge crowd of people, unless it's a huge crowd of school children!!
Hope you have a great time at the crop, will be looking forward to hearing all about it next week,
Diana xx #11

I used to hate leading assemblies. Sounds as if you put a lot into yours.
When I first began reading your blog post I thought you were going to be baking - then I scrolled down and couldn't see one - suddenly a cake with a candle popped up on your page and I understood.
See you Saturday
Hugs, Neet 4 xx

Morning Sarah. I see you have been really busy as usual - the pages are great - loving the backgrounds. Leading school assembly sounds a bit like leading the worship at church - scary, but incredibly big honour and privilege! Well done you.
Take care. God bless.

Ooh very brave of you to lead an assembly - I had to speak to a middle school a few times(as a visiting librarian) to promote our summer reading challenge and that was hair raising enough!! Weird to think that you are back at the beginning of your school year again, at least it gives you some timely targets to aim at, retired life is just................... (wouldn't want to be back at work though). See you on Saturday!! Love n hugs Cindy #14

Thanks for visiting me earlier and for your lovely comments. I've managed a busy sewing day today and thankfully my mouth isn't quite so swollen although it's still rather sore. I'm on top of my sewing demands now so just got to start cooking/baking ready for the crop around my dentist appointment in the morning. I will get there :-)
Love your pages.
Looking forward to seeing you at the crop.
Hugs,
