WOYWW 692: Back To Work

I must admit that the photo of my desk was taken on Monday this week as I was in school yesterday for an INSET day instead of my usual day off - I had Monday off instead.  I was playing with some of the new Bijou Landscapes stamps from the Clarity retreat and also having fun with the mini butterfly die that came with the August club die.

I managed two cards on Monday, having spent Sunday afternoon over at my parents' celebrating my 'little' brother's birthday.  For the first time in nearly 8 years all my siblings were in the same place with other halves and our boys.  The only member of the family who was missing was our nephew, but he had an excuse as he lives and works in Edinburgh.  We had such a fun time that no-one thought to take photos lol.  I finished the last of my school prep on Saturday which meant that I could really enjoy the last two days of the holidays.  Pupils are in school today and I will be acting as a floating form tutor as they will spend the day in forms getting ready for the year ahead and I should have a full day's teaching timetable.  As I have no form of my own, I shall fill in to allow non-contact time for those who should have it.

I have started an autumn theme as we are now in September - where has the year gone?

At least my desk is a little more interesting than last week's offering.  Don't forget to visit Julia at Stamping Ground - holder of the keys to WOYWW and leader of the weekly friendship and sharing.  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

Morning Sarah. How lovely - such a large family get together. Not really surprised you never thought to take pictures - too busy catching up! All the bet with the new term. My youngest grandchild started in the lower 6th this week!!! I can't believe he is that old already. Where on earth have the years gone?
Take care. God bless.

Hi Sarah. It is lovely when family can all get together.
Hope the school year is a good one. I must admit I feel such a sense of relief still that I am not going back in to school for the start of the Autumn Term. Enjoyed my teaching days 30 years of them, but happily retired now. Take care. Anne x 11

That's lovely that you could all get together! I know what you mean by forgetting to take pictures, although I did get a few of family while in Nova Scotia, I wish I had taken more. There seem to be a lot alcohol related pages with the start of school...hmmm(just kidding!) Your autumn themed pages are lovely, but I'm not quite ready to let summer go yet! Have a great week, and thanks for your visit, Lindart #18

How wonderful to be able to spend time with all your siblings at once! I only have 1 brother so it's a little easier.
Great pages, as usual.
Hope school goes well.

Fantastic you got all the family together but isn’t that just typical not to get some photos!! I honestly don’t know where this year has gone! At least we are managing to keep the summer vibe going here on holiday in Spain, wether sound awful at home. Have good week see you in a fortnight!! Cindyxx
