Blackbird Thinking of You Card

For this card, I used one of the backgrounds that I created at the Clarity retreats.  I also used the negative of the die cut large bird rather than the die cut itself.

Trim a piece of Clarity stencil card to 6.75” x 6.75”. Add a dot of purple and pink acrylic paint to a blending mat and use a brayer to spread out the ink. Lay the stencil card over the paint and press – spritz with water and take a second print.
Die cut the large bird and stand from a piece of Clarity stencil card and set them to one side for another project.
Take the negative of the die cut and add it to the topper masking off the bottom half of the bird.
Blend Saltwater Taffy and Tattered Rose Distress Oxides through the aperture with foam tools.
Go round the edges of the stencilled image with a Sakura fine line pen.
Stamp through the aperture in Black Soot Distress Oxide using the large Be Unique stamp. Add further stamping in the same ink using the smaller stamps from the same set. Remove the stencil.
Add Thinking of You Petal from Tina's Kiss Doodle Sunshine stamps into the bottom corner using Black Soot Distress Archival ink. Add one of the small Be Unique stamps into the centre.
Mat the topper onto two pieces of Clarity Companion paper (Toscana and Amazonia) measuring 7” x 7” and 7.52 x 7.5” and add to the front of an 8” x 8” white card blank.
To finish the inside of the card add further stamps from the Kiss Doodle set in the same Archival ink as before.
