WOYWW 633: Freedom

Monday was freedom day only in the sense that it is the school holidays.  I know that I and many of you are continuing with the mask wearing in shops and on public transport, as well as maintaining social distancing.  I know that I felt very uneasy watching the scenes at nightclubs on the news, especially as there are so many under thirties who have chosen not to get vaccinated.  Anyway enough of that, you are here to visit my desk as part of the weekly link up with WOYWW, hosted by Julia at Stamping Ground.

So here it is in all its glory, getting ready for some daily drawing.  I still have some of the items I used on projects yesterday when Eva came over to visit and craft.

On the other side of the desk, Eva was working on Pergamano/Groovi projects as it means carrying fewer items over to the shed when she visits.

I am setting this up to post automatically so I don't have to get up too early.  However, as it has been so warm, I may be up and around early anyway.  Stay safe and happy WOYWW.

Hi Sarah, glad you can get stuck into your summer crafting with Eva. Love your daily drawings!
Obvs, given my situation, I am very anxious about the covid figures too. This all seems lunacy.
Stay safe and happy WOYWW

Happy holidays! Even if it is too darn hot.
Eva looks happy and cool - say hello from me
I don't have much to do with media - I was taught at college that it is all propaganda - but I did see some local night club photos . . . very frightening . .
Went to buy Chicken food stuffs on Monday and, although the place is right out in the country and very open, I was pleased that mask wearing was in place.
Have a good week, stay cool

I agree with you about lifting the lockdown, G and I will continue to be ultra cautious for some time to come! Great daily drawings and it’s nice to see Eva, she’s looking very cool!

What a lovely sunny photo of Eva.
Don't blame you for staying in bed as long as you can. The only reason I was up early was the heat.
Love the big view of your desk this morning, interesting circus stamp on there for us to see. As for your daily drawings, you still amaze me - I mean - 'extreme' and 'sloppy' - how on earth did you think of those drawings. Brilliant! I would have been stumped!!
Stay safe and well

It's just too hot to lie in bed for long these days and I'm up early to get something done before it gets too hot to work. I love your daily drawings as always and it's good to see Eva having fun too.

I hope it's not too hot in your shed, Sarah! Probably quite nice first thing in the morning - like our conservatory - but then it heats up and becomes the hottest part of the house by midday. I've seen those night club scenes as well - why do people find that entertaining? Total nightmare even without Covid. Each to their own I guess. Happy #633 - enjoy your holidays - you've earned them! xx zsuzsa #17

I've just ordered some cooler mats for the dogs as it's been too hot for them too so it will probably rain before Saturday when they are due to arrive! Nice to see you both having fun playing together. Great collection of new drawings too. Wishing you a cooler and creative woyww, Angela x13x

I hear y'all are dealing with the heat. Ours is to move back in here tomorrow. I had to grin at your 'tool' sketch. I just bought that tool lasts month. Don't know what took me so long. Creative Blessings! Kelly #19

Lovely post, Sarah, and nice to see Eva's smiling face across the desk! I love the drawings this week - a great rendering of a pokey tool, but I laughed out loud at "Sloppy"! Haha! Brilliant. I so enjoy your weekly collection of drawings - amazing how much expression and information can be contained in so few lines. I always await the next collection with keen anticipation!

Thank you for your visit and for all your kind words about my various projects. I have had such fun this week. It's been absolutely brilliant to be back in the studio again after so many months working on yarn/thread based projects, and getting ink on my fingers again and having to clear up sticky gluey messes on the desk once more! The ideas are coming thick and fast. Fortunately the room is north facing so is slightly cooler, and the fan helps.

The kitties are finding it too hot, and really appreciate it when my hubby is around and they can be let out into the garden. I am NOT dealing well with the heat!! It hasn't been helped by having to wear the support stockings and also a bra at night.

Thank you for all your good wishes re my health. I had my phone appointment with the surgeon this a.m. and all is well - no cancer detected beyond the lump, so no further surgery required. However, no definite answer on the chemo question until I've seen the oncologist.

Happy belated WOYWW,

Thanks for stopping by Sarah, I have to ask as I see it every week - your drawings all have "drawing a day july 2017" - does that mean you have completed a drawing a day since then? That is a lot - they do give a bit of insight into whats going on around you - see you next time - stay safe & well Maurs xxx #26
