WOYWW 632: Last Week of the School Year

Welcome to my weekly desk share via the lovely Julia at Stamping ground as I join in with What's On Your workdesk, Wednesday? on the last Wednesday of the school year.  I have no marking this week as I am using online French and German activities relating to Euro 2020 with my classes.  Sad that we didn't win but encouraging resilience with the pupils.

The only thing that changes on my early morning desk is how far along I am with my daily drawings.

No Eva today as she had a few loose ends to sort out at school before the end of term yesterday.  At least we will have plenty of time over the holidays to get together.  We had a new hall, stairs and landing fitted yeterday so getting used to changing into slippers at the front door.  Happy WOYWW and stay safe everyone.

So glad for you that the holidays are upon us - just as the weather improves! (Though doubtless we'll be moaning about the heat in a couple of days). Loving your daily drawings - think the 'savoury' is my fave this week - yum yum! Happy WOYWW, stay well, stay safe, love n hugs Cindy xx #8

Enjoy the Summer holidays Sarah, I know it's a great feeling when the end of the school year comes to an end. I'm sure you will have so many creative things planned to fill those days. Great drawings again..

I so love your drawings they are such a brilliant idea to do and especially as a reminder of what you've seen and done. I bet you're getting quite excited now at the thought of the end of term and I look forward to seeing what you two get up to in the shed during the summer break. Have a lovely woyww. Happy WOYWW. We were one of the few households who did not watch the football, although I am a Match Better and made a nice profit from my bets! Lovely having new carpets (something else we need to organise for the rental house). We have hard flooring downstairs, so wear slippers all the time (unless it is really warm weather and then my flip flops come out!). These are left at the bottom of the stairs to avoid spreading dust/cat hair up the stairs. I have another pair of cosy slipper boots in my craft room for when it is chilly. Ali x #14

Our children break up next week . . . . Dx has been off this week, his year has to isolate, goes back Monday breaks up Wednesday! At least he was able to meet his new teacher for next year.
Is it me or are your drawings becoming a tad more detailed?
Have a good week

Had to smile at your header today - I remember that feeling when it got to the last week of term.
More fab drawings in your daily drawing book - just think of the crafting you can do when you are on holiday. And the kids don't realise the teachers are more excited about the end of the year than they are.

I know the countdown is nearly over and you can have time away from school. I am in love with your drawings. Two stuck out in particular: Morning and Savory. Just beautifully done. Happy WOYWW from # 6.

So exciting for you that the school holidays are just around the corner - just when I have to go back to the office, darn. Not looking forward to that. It's so much more flexible to work from home - and I get more done in less time, but my boss wants us in the office so hey-ho, I'll just do what I'm told. Lovely drawings - I'm amazed that you're keeping it going so long! Enjoy the last week of school - it used to be my favourite when I was a kid. We still had blackboards back then - and we used to write VAKACIO (VACATION) backwards starting with O, and then IO, CIO, etc, until we got to the full word on the last day when strictly no school activities were allowed to take place. It was a magical time and I still remember it! Have a lovely week. xx zsuzsa #24

I love the idea of teaching resilience to failure with your French & German kids. From Schadenfreude to Weltschmerz? 😉 I always love your daily drawings. Thanks for your good wishes

More fun drawings, Sarah! I love "morning" and "important" - your craft barn? You have such a lovely imagination.

Thank you for your visit and your sweet comment. I am continuing to do very well, but my hubby has given me his wretched throat bug so I'm not feeling too well at the moment.

I've made good progress on the Pakistani card which is nearly finished! The colours are super-vibrant and today I added lots of shimmer and sparkle.

Happy belated WOYWW,
