WOYWW 631: The Countdown Continues

Joining in with the weekly Wednesday desk sharing via Stamping Ground for WOYWW - please visit to find out more!  The sense of deja vu continues on my desk as the days count down to the summer holidays.  This week sees the last marking that will be needed for this school year as next week is sport and fitness week and the last day sees our full reward day.

As I can't show you what I am working on sample wise at the moment, it is the usual daily drawing sketchbook which is always on my desk first thing in the morning.

Here are this week's latest offerings.
On the other side of the desk, Eva kept me company yesterday morning, as she had some time off in lieu due this week, and will also be joining me in the shed tomorrow.  I will be round later today or tomorrow morning to visit as the meeting after school should be quite a short one this week.  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW everyone.

Good Morning, I'll be off to bed here shortly, A nice peaceful rain, so much needed. A July 4th holiday here so 4 days of dining/dancing/traveling/celebrating, but we were just home. Safer and no missing the noise/crowds this year. Glad your school year will be on break.
Enjoy some fun things you like to do.

I like Eva's gillet. Looks pretty and comfortable and warm - all rolled into one lovely back warmer.
Great drawings as always, I love how you find something for the most difficult word.

Happy WOYWW. I am sure you are looking forward to the holidays. Life is about to change for us, as 2 of our grandchildren (7 and 3) are moving closer to us next month (to the house that we have just bought in the nearby town). I am already looking up term dates (something I haven't paid any attention to for many years). Ali x #12

Lovely to see Eva again - and with a new hair colour too! It's funny how she's become a full-fledged member of the WOYWW bunch through you! Hang in there, Sarah, just a few more days of school to go! Keep up with the daily the sketching! xx zsuzsa #22

I am sure you are looking forward to the summer holidays, Sarah. As always, I love your drawings which have such a directness and simplicity to them, and speak volumes! My favourites this week are "Shadow" and "Bench." The texture on the latter one is amazing - just a few little strokes, and you can imagine the roughness of the wood.

Happy WOYWW,

Thanks for your visit, Sarah, and for all your good wishes for my operation and recovery. I'm glad you enjoyed the transformation of my studio! I shall look forward very much to getting through the recovery period so I can get in there and start playing with my new stuff. I hope you will share with us when your new Distress products arrive. On the Tim Holtz video he showed the 4-in-one palette of the Distress Archivals, and he said he'd been battling with Ranger for years to bring them out as full-sized separate pads. The compromise is that you have to buy all 4 in a set, but that's no real hardship because they are all useful colours.
