Decorating Brown Paper to make Wrapping Paper

I have had a roll of plain brown paper in the shed for quite a while.  This year I decided to make some of my own wrapping paper rather than using all shop bought which can rarely be recycled.  As you can see I used stamps and a variety of Versafine inks to go with the tags that I had made previously (see HERE).

I started each time by laying out the brown paper on my craft mat.
The Deck the Halls music was stamped in Versafine Crimson.
The two holly stamps from the set were added in Olympia Green.
I continued until I had decorated enough paper for the present I wanted to wrap.
Once wrapped, I added one of the tags.
After the first present, I decided to coordinate the colours of the stamping with the tag that I used.
The snowflake stamps from Clarity in Majestic Blue and Deep Lagoon Versafine ink with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide.
The trees from the Let Heaven and Nature Sing set in Olympia Green and Spanish Moss Versafine ink.
The German version of Silent Night in Sepia Versafine with angels in Satin Red and Crimson.
Finally, the cyclist from the Wee Sports set and We Wish You a Merry Christmas in Deep Lagoon Versafine.  I have more paper to decorate and presents to wrap, but at least I have made a start.  I hope you are all ready!

I often use the rosin paper I place on my desk. I stamp Christmas scenes, too. You can't plan the background, and it is never the same. Yours is SO controlled. I like all the images you used.
