WOYWW 549: No Sign of Slowing Down

Joining in with the weekly sharing of desks thanks to Julia at The Stamping Ground and What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.
My desk shows my latest attempts at organising my stamps into blank DVD cases.  I managed to get hold of some more from Maria Moorhouse at her workshop at the weekend and finally stashed away the new stamps that I bought in the Gray Day sale at Clarity.  While I was at it, I added some sets I already had from my larger folders to fit in with the new stamp sets.  Top left: Tina's Flowers, top right: love, locks and clocks and bottom: hobbies.  I still have a way to go.  The next step is to trim some copy paper to fit into the sleeves and add a label along the spine.
While I'm mentioning organising, thanks to Shaz's tip last week I ordered one of the trolleys from Hobbycraft.  It is the perfect size for sitting under the desk and has cleared a lot of clutter from my desk space.
Sorry I am unlikely to visit this week. I will be at work today and need an early night as #2 son needs to be at Stanstead for 5am tomorrow.  By the time I get back, I will be voting and getting back into bed for a nap, before school work which needs my attention.

All these people organising supplies... If I had a desk i'd love a trolley to put under it! Hope the trip to Stanstead isn't too bad. Helen #?

Love the idea of DVD boxes must take a trip to the charity shop, mine are all in large plastic boxes. Must admit I don't use stamps much these days. Pity you on the early run to Stanstead. Have a good week. Ani #5

Happy WOYWW. I love to organise, but made it easier by selling/donating so much of my craft room stash. I actually sold the two Ikea Raskog trollies I had. They were really useful, but not necessary in my newly emptied room. We do a postal vote here, so won't need to venture out in the next storm tomorrow. Ali x #15

Hi Sarah, happy the trolley worked for you too! I've cleared a lot of stuff off two desks with mine. Just have to make sure I don't put loads of other stuff on them now, lol. Sounds like a busy few days for you. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #3 X

A trolley would be free up some desk space for me too...but I’d refill it rather quickly I think! I have no better a solution for clear stamps. Mine tend to be bigger than DVD cases allow and so I go on hating them, I just can’t find a storage solution that works for me. I miss wood mounts.
Hope you manage a nap at some stage and the traffic to and from Stansted isn’t too gruelling.

I love the little cart you have there! It would work perfectly for under my desk!

I bought two of those trolleys based on Shaz's recommendation! I'll have to keep them until Christmas - I can't wait to transfer some of the clutter from my desk! Not long to go until your Christmas break now! Just hang in there! zsuzsa #19

Hi Sarah, I've given up trying to organise my stamps ... I think I'm sorted and then the next thing they are in a guddle again so it's back to the drawing board. I can say, I do love my trolleys too - they keep a lot of goodness (knows what) of my desk. Sounds like you are going to be run of your feet between today and tomorrow. Roll on the weekend. I have a similar trolley but from HSN. It has an "apron" around 3 sides to hold much more and it is loaded! Love seeing how others organize!
Have a great week!

I have two of those sorta trolleys... was amazed at how much space they freed up. Love the ideas of stamps in cases, mine are stored in boxes.... Maybe we should do A 'stamp storage' week!!!

I have a similar cart and I ended up dragging it into the closet and putting some odds and ends on it that I don't reach for all the time. ( the floor space is limited and since I stamp on a folding table, it has these metal braces under it on an angle so it didn't fit under the table) but, I love how much space I freed up getting one too :) Hope the travels went well and things slow down a little soon for you. I am assuming you get a break for the holidays from school too. ~Stacy #23
