Merry Christmas Card: Holly and Ivy

The first Christmas card of the year not made as a sample or at a workshop.  I had a play with some stamps from Clarity that I bought in the recent Christmas sale.
Having checked the layout with the chosen stencil, stamp the three stamps from the Clarity Holly and Ivy set onto a piece of stencil card in Versamark ink.  Heat emboss with detail gold embossing powder.
Using a small ball tool, mask off the holly and ivy with Pebeo masking fluid and allow to dry naturally.
Lay the stencil outer (Clarity Framer Shapes set 2) over the card and hold in place.  Brush Spiced Marmalade Distress ink around the top and Fossilized Amber Distress ink around the bottom using Clarity stencil brushes leaving the colours lighter across the centre.
Use a spot-on sponge to drag excess colour off the stencil to intensify the edges.
Gently rub away the dry masking fluid.
Colour the holly with two shades of dark green water colour pencil and blend out with a water brush.
Repeat with two lighter shades of green on the ivy leaves.
Trim down the stencil card to 15.5cm x 15.5cm.  Mat onto dark green paper (16cm x 16cm) and then onto gold paper  (17cm x 17cm).
To finish, add to the front of a 7" x 7" card blank.
