Hat Ladies Journal Page

I haven't worked in my leather bound journal with hand made paper for a while.  It's surprising what the paper will take if given a base of gesso to work on.
Add clear gesso over the page and dry it well with a heat gun.  Blend Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters and Twisted Citron Distress paints over the page and dry again.
Stamp the Chevrons stamp from the mixed media journal set (designed by Dee Paramour for Claritystamp) in Fern Green Archival ink.
Add the sonnet script from the same set in Prickly Pear Archival ink and the chequered squares in Leaf Green Archival ink.
Go round the edge of the page in Peat Moss Archival using the cross hatch stamp.
Stamp two ladies (Hats 2) onto stencil card with Onyx Black and heat emboss using clear powder.
Colour the images using a mixture of Ecoline and Kuretake pens.
Fussy cut the images, extending the colouring and the lines on the larger lady with a black embossing pen and embossing powder.
Add the ladies to the bottom of the journal page.
Add three quotes from the Dee's Friends Faith stamp set – coloured with Twisted Citron Oxide.  To finish, go round the quotes with a purple micron pen.
