Christmas Scene through a Window

I created a double layered tag using one of the Fresh Cut Window Aperture dies from Claritystamp.  I had previously used the Dove Window to create a Panorama Card (see HERE), but this time worked with the Candle Window.
I covered two #8 manilla tags with the remains of a piece of copy paper which had been used to clean up my blending mat from a previous project.  By misting the remaining ink on the blending mat with water and pressing a piece of copy paper over it, all sorts of lovely patterns and inspiration appear.  This time I could see a path into the distance on one of the tags and decided to use this to create the background scene.

I used the Candle Window Aperture die from Claritystamp on the second tag.
To make the window stand out from the background, I used a Faber-Castell Pitt Artist pen over the top of black paint (once completely dry) to black out the lines and create a frame.
I created a simple scene on the other tag by stamping the teeny weenie three wise men and star from the Candle Outline stamp set (also by Claritystamp) using Onyx Black Versafine ink.
To complete the front tag, I stamped one of the doves from the same stamp set in Onyx Black and added Peace On Earth using Mini Word Chains 13 & 14.

The only thing left to do was to mat the window tag over the second one using foam pads at the top and bottom.  The gap allows the scene below to be seen more clearly through the window.
