I needed a birthday card in a hurry but didn't want it to look as if it had been made in a rush. By combining one stencil and one stamp set from Claritystamp, I produced a card quickly, but feel it still looks special.
I started by attaching a 9.9cm x 9.9cm post it note to the centre of a 7" x 7" piece of Clarity stencil card. The Dotty Wave stencil which is the same size was attached over the top.
I blended a combination of Indian Jamun and Fancy Fuchsia Artistry inks through the stencil using separate Clarity stencil brushes. By brushing in two directions, I achieved a lovely variegated blend of colours and ink intensity. Once the stencil and post it note had been removed, 0.5cm was trimmed from each side of the stencil card and the edges highlighted in Fancy Fuchsia ink. Next I added the Happy Birthday and a couple of additional sentiments from the same set by Claritystamp, using Blue Violet Archival ink and a stamp platform. The lettering was coloured in using a water colour pencil in pink, and a squiggly line drawn all round the edge of the middle section using a purple Sakura micron pen. To finish, the topper was added to a 7" x 7" pre made white card blank. A clean and simple, classy looking result!
