Using Part of a Stencil on a Small Project

The prompt for the November mini mission over on Mission Inspiration is 'Trust'.  As usual I worked on a tag for my tag journal and made use of the paper towel mop up sheet from my previous project (see HERE).

I started by gluing the top layer of my paper towel mop up sheet onto two #8 manilla tags, sealing them with matte medium, drying, then trimming the edges.

I wanted to try out various ways of adding to the background.  I laid the Clarity Townhouse stencil over one of the tags, then blended Pick Raspberry Distress Oxide though it with a blending tool.  I was thinking that Trust is a positive emotion.

Although I will probably use this tag for another project,  I felt that the background wasn't what I wanted for this page.  For the second tag,  I used a Pergamano blending pen and nib to add highlights of Stormy Sky Distress Oxide through the stencil and coloured in all the sky.
This background felt more harmonious.  I stamped the couple from the Wee Folk 1 stamp set by Claritystamp in Acorn Archival ink, using a stamp platform, then 'Trust' from Word Chain 6 in the same way.
Initially I was thinking of printing out additional sentiments such as 'one of the secrets to a happy home' using my Dymo Letratag.  However I felt that this would detract from the simplicity of the page, even if I used a clear plastic substrate so that the background would still be seen.  What do you think?
