Tag It Tuesday: Geometric Shapes Part 2

This is the second of two tags made for my son, using the February 2017 theme of geometric shapes in Tag It Tuesday.  This time I worked with rectangles and squares.
Once again, a #8 Manilla Tag is the base.  The first layer is a selection of square and rectangular sections of book text, die cut using the nesting squares and nesting rectangle shapes by Tonic Studios.
Next, a layer of watered down white gesso.
I added some Pebeo high density modelling paste through the Tim Holtz Linen layering stencil and allowed it to dry.
A quick spray, firstly with Chipped Sapphire distress spray and then with water to encourage drips and runs.  Once dried with a heat gun, I repeated with Broken China distress spray and water.
I rubbed some Distress Crayons in the same two colours round the edges of the book text to bring out the texture. A couple of puffs of Aqua Lagoon Pixie Powder and a spritz of water to activate them added a little mica 'bling'.
On a separate piece of card, I stamped the 'Be you, the world will adjust' quote from the Laugh Til You Leak stamp set designed by Dyan Reaveley for Ranger/Dylusions using Majestic Blue Versafine ink and heat embossed using Holographic powder. I cut the quote into three sections and added them above and below the texture paste section.
Finally, some fibres in coordinating colours were added through the top of the tag.
