Junk Journal Junkies Challenge 5: Purple, Blue, Silver and Diamonds

The prompt for this journal page was purple, blue, silver and diamonds.  Initially I was thinking of using 'diamonds are a girl's best friend' as the tag line, but as you can see, I went in another direction. I have no idea what made this catch phrase come into my head.  I was too young to drink when the adverts were on TV back in the 70s, but once it was in my head, there it stayed.

Once again, as I was using a notebook with very thin pages, I was limited to the media that the pages would take.  This time I started by dabbing Decadent Denim Colour Cloud through the Argyle Layering Stencil by Tim Holtz around the edges of the double page.  Once dry I brushed Wilted Violet distress ink all over the page, then went back over some areas of the stencil using Mediterranean Blue Gilding Polish by Cosmic Shimmer to add a bit of bling.

I then used the outer line of the diamond shape from the Shapes 1 stamp set by Claritystamp to add some silver; Versamark ink and Bright Silver detail embossing powder by Cosmic Shimmer.  The solid inner version of the same shape was then used to add some Decadent Denim Colour Cloud ink into the centre of each diamond.  As you can see, I didn't add the 'double diamond' on the left hand side until I had finally decided on the tag line for the page.
The letters for the tag line were once again provided by the Word Chain Alphabet set by Claritystamp, which I added using Cobalt Blue Archival ink.  The letters in the word 'Diamond' were then emphasized using an Indigo Blue ProMarker.
