JJJ and Mindful Art Challenge 10: Blue, Pink, Silver and Heavenly

It's not really surprising that the idea of angels and starry skies came to me given the prompt.  For once I decided to go without any words and let the images speak for themselves.  The photos don't really do the shimmery finish justice.

As the background technique that I used for the previous challenge had worked so well, I decided to repeat it using different colours.  I used Pixie Powders in Midnight Blue and Candy Pink, puffed them over the pages and spread them out using Distress Collage Medium.  This created a lovely streaky, ethereal effect and sealed the page at the same time.
For the next step I used two of the stamps from the Midnight Waltz stamp collection designed by Lisa Horton, stamped them using Versamark ink and heat embossed them using the Detail Silver Shine embossing powder by Cosmic Shimmer.
I left space to add the angels.  These are the Sue Wilson angel from 2014 and the angel from 2015 and were die cut from Sheena's stamping card.  The white card was coloured all over using the Silver Dream metallic Gilding Polish by Cosmic Shimmer.  Colour details were then added using Decadent Denim, Frosty Blossom and Frosty Sky mica watercolours and a water brush, before they were added to the pages. In order to make the angels stand out a little more, I went round them with  Pink Madder Lake and Ultramarine Big Brush Markers, blending them out with my fingers and a cotton bud.  I also went round the page with Chipped Sapphire distress crayon, blending it with my fingers, before adding Picked Raspberry distress crayon over parts of the background to intensify the pink areas.
