A Rainbow In Someone's Cloud

I had another play with a second print taken from the July Clarity Club stencil and used a die that I have been after for ages and found second hand on eBay.

To begin, I added some of my favourite rainbow Oxides (Festive Berries, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet) to stencil #134 on a piece of copy paper.

Next, I trimmed stencil card to the same size as the stencil, spritzed it lightly with water, laid it over the inky side of the stencil and burnished with a large baren to transfer the colour.

I die cut the piece twice using the Tim Holtz Sizzix Alterations Umbrella Man die.
I chose the die cut that I preferred.
I then added further colour using Distress markers in the same colours as used on the stencil.
The Maya Angelou quote from the small Words of Wisdom stamps was added to the front of a 6"x6" white card blank in Jet Black Archival ink.
This was coloured in the same marker colours as before.
I masked off the stamping using a 4.5cm x 7cm rectangle embedder before adding clouds using the Clouds and Hills mask from the Build a Scene set, Stormy Sky Distress ink and a Clarity stencil brush.
The Umbrella Man die cut was then added with a Pritt Stick.
To finish, I added a drop shadow to the die cut using a grey water soluble pencil and blended it out with a watercolour brush pen.
