Groovy Birthday Mini Make

I finally got round to using my Clarity New Design Club stamps from June of this year and really enjoyed making this groovy birthday card.

Add the stamp outline (#224) to a small piece of Clarity designer card in Jet Black Archival ink.

Add the overlay of the van in Monarch Orange Archival ink.

Add the overlay of HELLO in Saffron Archival ink then add further colour using Faber-Castell Polychromos (#108, #152, #223, #183, #186, #107, #123, #199, #102, #132, #266).

Add a road in Payne’s Gray (#181) and blend with Dorso oil using a Pergamano blending pen and nib.

Mask off the road and the bottom part of the VW using low tack tape.

Create hedges in Library Green Archival ink using the top of one of the trees from the Savannah Treescape stamps. Remove the masking.

Add a sky using the Hills and Clouds mask from the Build a Scene mask set, a Clarity stencil brush and Stormy Sky Distress ink.

Add the sentiment from the same stamp set in Jet Black Archival ink.

To finish, edge the topper with a black Sharpie pen and add it to a 4” x 4” white card blank.
