I flattened the parchment overnight under a heavy book. I then trimmed a piece of Northern Lights companion paper to 16.4cm x 11.6cm and added the parchment to it using tiny brads. This was then added to the front of a 7” x 7” white card blank.Next, I die cut the same parchment and companion paper using the smallest nested rectangle (picot) dies and added a double border to the parchment in the same way as before.I added a white Pergamano rub-on transfer from the Birthday Sentiments and matted up with brads as before. To finish, this topper was also added to the card.

60th Birthday Parchment Card
I thought my sister deserved a special card for her 60th birthday, so got busy with the lovely Floral Numbers designed by Linda Williams for Clarity Crafts.Work on the back (coloured side) of a light pink A5 sheet of parchment. Trace the 6 using Linda’s Floral Numbers Groovi plate using the #1 Pergamano ball tool. Leave some of the leaves for the time being.Add the 0 from the same set, again embossing from the back of the parchment.Go back and add in leaves from the 6 ensuring they do not overlap the flowers from the 0.Because the embossed area is larger than the largest nested rectangle picot die I had to extend the die frame and picot cutting. To start with I embossed one end and the sides of the second frame in on the Groovi plate, then moved the parchment and finished embossing the double frame. Then I die cut the picot edge by cutting one end only, moving the die, hanging the cut end over the end of the cutting plate and finishing the cut.Next, I used the diagonal grid plate to add lines of dots into the numbers covering half of each number.I coloured on the back of the parchment using Perga colours (leaves - #16, flowers - #10, #8, #9, #1, #23, butterflies - #23, dragonfly #27, #16).
