Christmas Through the Square Window

Even though these are small stamps, I decided to go large with my third project using the Mega Build a Landscape Christmas stamps and added in some of the previous stamps too.

Die cut a piece of Clarity stencil card four times using the 2.5” nested square die to create a window.

Choose one of the Barbara’s Landscapes Backdrop Prints from the Spring/Summer collection to sit behind it.

Mark the corners of the apertures lightly in pencil and remove the ‘window’.

Add the nativity scene and the smaller star from the Mega Build a Landscape Christmas stamps into the bottom left area in Jet Black archival ink.

Add the shepherds and angel from the same set together with the flock of sheep from the Buildings & Animals Mega Build a Landscape set into the bottom right area in the same ink.

Add the Magi into a third area in a like manner.

Erase the pencil marks and ground the characters using a warm grey Faber-Castell Polychromo pencil (#271).

Add the window frame to the topper.

Add one of the Birthday & Christmas stickers to the fourth aperture.

Add a ‘fleece’ to each sheep using a white Posca pen.

To finish, mat onto a piece of black card (7.5” x 7.5”) and add to the front of an 8” x 8” white card blank.
