WOYWW 666: It Finally Got Me

Well this is certainly an appropriate number for this week's WOYWW (c/o Julia at Stamping Ground). After two years of avoiding Covid, I tested positive on Monday morning having felt under the weather over the weekend.  I had already moved into the spare room so I am hoping that hubby and #3 son avoid following suit.  So sorry but no desk shot this week.

I did manage a daily journal page on Monday as it had already been set up but didn't manage one yesterday and probably won't today either.  Sorry if I don't visit this week.  I have brought the laptop up to my room so I can set work for school while I am off.  So glad I set up blog posts at least a week ahead too.  Haven't felt up to distance teaching as I am sleeping a great deal.  Stay safe everyone.

Sorry that you are feeling poorly following the positive test - I know several people where one spouse has had it and the other, stayed negative so fingers crossed. Don't worry about visiting if you're not up to it; and we hope you get better very soon. Take care and hugs. Helen #?

That’s such bad luck to get it now after all this time, I really hope that you don’t get it badly and that your menfolk escape too. Rest up and get better soon xx

So sorry you have succumbed; I guess teaching lots of secondary school kids was going to make it likely at some point. Sleep when you need to, drink loads and take paracetamol. Above all don't try and do too much too soon as that is how people end up suffering with long covid fatigue type symptoms. Happy WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#17)

Mum always believed sleep was the best healer - so sleep as much as your body wants.
Have loved seeing your ards on FB so it was a bonus today to see them again.

Now that is a surprise, you've been doing so well at avoiding covid. I think there are lots of people who think it's gone but we are still trying to be careful and wearing masks when shopping as can't risk passing it on to my mum. i really hope you're feeling better soon and you realy must try to rest as much as possible. I know I'm late but want to try and get round before bed. Wishing you a very happy woyww and sending hugs, Angela x15x

Just the same as me then, avoided COVID for 2 years them WHAM knocked for 6. I'm not vaccinated so I guess it isn't a bad strain like they had 2 years ago. I'm still coughing now in week 5 but getting back to normal slowly. Impressed with your journalling but not surprised you had to sleep one day out. Really hope you are feeling better now. Hugs BJ#8

Super pages!

So sorry that you have come down with Covid. Hope you are not too bad. Our daughter Sophie also is isolating having tested positive at the weekend. She lives on her own so we left a food parcel on her doorstep on Monday.
I am very late commenting but hope to get around everyone now...
See you tomorrow!
Happy WOYWW! Susan #13
