Jackanory What's the Story: My First Clarity Sample

I was highly honoured to be asked to join the Clarity design team while visiting the NEC back in November 2018.  The story behind this artwork is that it is the first ever sample that I made for Clarity, with products for the inaugural craftalong on the Craft Channel on 17th February 2019.  I have now made over 500 samples and have loved every minute, but I still look back fondly on my first. #ClarityOpen DayFestival.

I started by blending Cotton Candy Artistry ink through the stencil onto a piece of 7" x 7" stencil card.
I then added Lush Lilac onto an 6” x 6” gelli plate, pressed the stencil down to pick up ink, laid it back onto the card and ran it through my e-bosser.
I painted the bird and heart outline with Indian Jamun ink and a water brush.
I painted the flowers with Lush Lilac and went over the rest of the stencil image with Lavender Dash and a water brush.  Next I trimmed the edges and darkened them with Indian Jamun ink.  I also added 'Thank You, from the Mini Word Chains 17 & 18 in Indian Jamun ink.
Finally, I matted the topper onto the back of Rainbow River Designer Paper, trimmed it back and added it onto a 7" x 7" card blank.
