Today is the turn of my middle son, who runs his own ICT business (uHostPro) from his bedroom. He takes lots of meetings over Skype so he really needs a door hanger as he keeps strange hours at times!
The stamp by Penny Black is surprisingly true to life, except he has three computer monitors (which he was quick to point out!).
The hanger was painted with two coats of white gesso, followed by bronze acrylic paint once dry.
The images and text were stamped using black Archival ink and heat embossed using detail clear embossing powder.
Once again, I used the Worn Text letters by Tim Holtz and Stamper's Anonymous. I was initially going to paint the image to provide more colour, but I liked the simpler effect of black on bronze and I wasn't sure how well the colours would come out over the bronze acrylic paint without adding a white base coat to the image. Rather than potentially spoiling the hanger, I decided to leave well alone. My son was really pleased with the finished effect.
