Cricut Anniversary - St. George and the Dragon

Once again I used my favourite Cricut cartridge - Paper Doll Dress Up, to create this card and use up some of my scraps.  It's not just a cartridge that can be used for children's cards.  My sister and brother-in-law were married on April 23rd which is St Georges Day in England (our patron saint), so the theme was an easy one to pick!  Apologies for the quality of the photographs - they were taken on an ancient mobile phone before I got my digital camera.

I decided to depict my brother-in-law as St. George and my sister as the dragon - I knew she would take it in good part.  As on yesterday's card, I folded an A4 piece of light blue card in half to make the base, but this time landscape rather than portrait.  A piece of green card was shaped to create the hill in the background.  The castle is one of the accessories to the princess costume; the shield is an accessory to the prince costume; all the other items form part of the knight's accessories.

This time I set the character to 3.5" so that everything would be in a better proportion as there was more to fit on this card than the one which I blogged yesterday.  The background items were stuck onto the card flat, but the characters were added using foam pads for dimension.  Silver peel offs added the finishing touches.
