This time I extended the edges of the image to fit behind an aperture.
Colour one of the A6 images from the Woodland Creatures Colouring Art Pack with Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer watercolour pencils blended with a watercolour brush pen (#144, #175, #165, #167, #180, #182, #132, #199, #283). Cutting directly into the front of a 7” x 7” black card blank, use the Just for You Aperture die in the bottom right-hand corner. Add the leaves from the Woodland Aperture with 5 Birds aperture die set in the top left-hand corner. Extend the colouring into the corners using the same technique and colours as before. Add the image behind the aperture, trimming as necessary. Add a piece of Companion paper behind the other aperture, trimming as necessary. To finish, trim a piece of Clarity stencil card to 6.75” x 6.75” and add to the inside to neaten.Sunday, 7 May 2023

Happy Birthday Parrot
Clarity Crafts have a great selection of printed images/postcards for colouring, but they can still be adapted to use on a card.

WOYWW 726: Lovely Long Weekend
Two weeks to go until the 14th anniversary get together of WOYWW thanks to Julia at Stamping Ground.
My desk shows my finished ATC for the occasion. I have only managed one with all the gallivanting I have been doing and the sample making, so it will be going to the person following my entry on the link up on the day itself. As you can see my stamp storage towers have been breeding. I absolutely cannot fit any more in now. I had to take the curtain rail down and move the other three across closer to the door to fit the fourth. Saturday was a trip to IKEA and Sunday was spent rearranging, building, screwing together and extra ways of holding them to the unit behind and the wall for safety. On Monday I finished sorting school stuff in time for a visit to Mum and Dad's. It was Dad's birthday yesterday so I wanted a chance to drop off his card and gift. we spent the afternoon reminiscing over coffee and Dolly Buns which was lovely.![]() |
| Thanks so my sister for the lovely photo. |
As you can see the puns in my #dailydrawing2023 challenge are getting worse.
It will be a particularly busy day at work today with no breaks and I will have to get all the books marked Friday before and after school so I can relax and enjoy the Coronation on Saturday.
Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

A Year of Daily Drawings: A Third of the Way
With April over I am now a third of the way through the daily drawing challenge that I have set myself this year. Here is a round up of the second half of April.
Straight forward.Another easy response.I can never resist crisps!Another quick and easy response. The pyramids of Giza.I didn't follow the YouTube video but I did use the picture as a guide. The first thing that came to mind. The result of being stuck in traffic the previous day.One strand of a chain link fence.Another easy one.I thought I'd interpret this prompt a little differently.I don't want to!I didn't follow the tutorial but found an easy picture to copy (see HERE).Sorry for the earworm!I don't suppose you open many stable doors to find a unicorn!
