WOYWW 660: Same Old, Same Old

Things have settled well into a routine now in 2022 - I have developed a rythmn for bothwork and play and feel a lot less stressed as a result.  My desk shot for WOYWW (please visit Julia to find out more) was taken yesterday afternoon as I was getting out the bits and pieces for today's daily journal page.

If I don't plan things out the night before then I spend too long before work getting the page complete.  Hubby has also been making a lot of soup in the new soup machine so you can see the latest bowl of carrot and coriander in the background lol.

I tend to try and find enough similar material to do two pages so that I can tie in the opposite ones.

After today, masks will no longer have to be worn in school even in the corridors, however I have chosen to continue wearing one.  I have so far managed to avoid catching Covid and really hope to continue to do so.

Happy WOYWW everyone, I'll be round to visit later or in the morning as usual.

it's a very good idea to prep your daily page ahead of time! I wouldn't have time to do it before work at all. I don't intend to stop wearing my mask either, although we don't at work as we have always been very spread out luckily; and the mayor of London has said they'll still be required on transport anyway which I think is good. How was the football? Helen #4

Hi Sarah, your pages look great. There’s a real steampunk feel to many of them.
It seems crazy to me to stop wearing masks just yet. I hope you stay clear. It must be hard work doing language teaching in one.
So glad you’ve sorted your work/life rhythm to your satisfaction.
Take care and happy WOYWW

I am hoping that masks will continue to be worn by the majority although around here there don't seem to be many doing so when mandatory.
Good idea to prep the night before, once you get into a rhythm it makes life less stressful - good luck with it.

Loving your collages, Sarah! The key is probably gathering the right materials, so they're at hand when you need them. A husband that cooks is definitely a keeper! xx Take care, zsuzsa #17

Love your daily pages, anything with postage stamps on is good in my opinion! It’s a clever idea to prep everything the night before, just get to in the morning! I’m continuing to wear a mask as well, such a simple thing to do to protect yourself.

Morning Sarah. This is all sounding very positive - well done on all the thought that has gone into the "less stressful" sense. Love your little pages - great fun - and obviously reflecting hw you are feeling. Trust all goes well with the no masks in school...
Take care. God bless.

Your collages are fabulous - I am impressed with your organisation, as a collage a day seems quite an ask when you are also out at work most days.
Hope you have a good week,

I so agree about the masks, I do not intend to stop using one. Wearing a mask gives me peace of mind although I have still had covid it was much milder thanks to the vaccinations.
Love the journal pages, I though they were cards at first!
Have a good week

Oh My absolutely ADORE your journal pages. Ask me to choose a fav- CAN'T. Love how you tie the two pages together with subtle differences/placements. Then the soup machine! - Made me think of soup dragon from the clangers, now there's a throw back if ever there was one!
Glad there are some sensible still mask wearers, me included, although we don't for Thursday night badminton and one member tested positive last Friday! Eeeek.
I seem to have managed to avoid as well and have had 2 -ve tests so far this week which is good as the last one was so I could confirm my appointment for a CT scan on Saturday for my ears. Will test again tomorrow and Saturday to make extra sure both for badminton on Thursday and the scan on Saturday - - Phew perhaps you didn't need all that info but it's typed now LOL. Thanks for your visit always appreciated. BJ#15

Lovely pages! And it is so nice how they go together. I'm not the plan ahead type at all, I sit down and just do whatever my head tells me to! Sometimes it's not taking to me, and I have to do something else! Have a great week, Lindart #27

I think we’re going to continue with masks too…I’ve noticed on a couple of independent shops locally there are signs asking customers to do the same. Some of my local family have just finished being in isolation, it does seem to be very much easier to catch now! Glad you’re in a rhythm with preparing and then doing your pages, a nice accomplishment way to start and a day with. I hope the bowl of soup wasn’t all you had….it’s the law you know,to have at least a small hunk of bread!

I think you are very wise re face masks Sarah. It really is no good every time numbers come down to remove all the protection...we will continue to wear ours and I ask all customers coming in for fittings to wear one. I can honestly say if you can avoid catching it then it’s wise cos I’ve never felt so poorly before.

So many people I know who have caught it, its hard on them ( even vac'd people ) Love the idea that the days can tie in together when you open the book flat you know what I mean? :) ~Stacy #26

Hi Sarah, another late one for me but really wanted to get round. Brilliant journal pages and well impressed with the soup machine. I bought one years ago and sadly have hardly used it for some time. You are very sensible about the masks. Two schools in Lincoln have already said that they will continue to ask children and staff to continue wearing them, it's the only way to keep the schools running smoothly. Sending hugs, Angela x16x

Wish I had thought to challenge myself to a journal page a day this year - mind you Ido do quite a few. I am totally behind with the end of last year's Wanderlust and the beginning of this. Just don't know where the time goes!
Anyway lovely pages - and I hope you enjoyed the soup...
Happy WOYWW!

Love your pages Sarah, I'm like you I nearly always do a double spread (when I do one). I disturbs me of they don't match!! You sound super organised, at the moment I'm lucky if I've done all my exercise and got dressed by 12!! However did I go to work? Happy WOYWW, stay safe, stay well, love n hugs Cindy xx #22

Hi Sarah, I've been prepping this evening too. Not that I need too, it's just habit after years of going out to work. Your pages are lovely and I love the quote about a smile being the same in any language. Have a lovely weekend. Elizabeth x #28
