Layered Stencil and Gel Plate Card

I had fun creating a large background and then chopping into it to create this card.

Add King’s Blue and Ultramarine Violet Amsterdam acrylics to a large gel plate with a brayer and pull a print onto a large piece of Clarity stencil card.

Add white gesso to the print with a brayer and by dry brushing.

Add Wilted Violet and Salty Ocean Distress Oxides through Clarity New Design Club stencil #91 (December 2021) with foam tools.

Trim the background into 3” squares.

Choose four of the squares and add highlights to the stencilling with a white gel pen.

Cut mats for the toppers from purple card using the 3.25” nested squares picot die.

Mat up the toppers and add them to the front of an 8” x 8” white card blank.

To finish, add one of Leonie’s Words stickers to each topper.
