Happy 80th Birthday Mum

My Mum was known as Polly when training to be a nurse many years ago and her birthday is not long after Christmas, so I decided to use the Polly character designed by Marina Fedotova inside the Winter Entwined Wreath for her birthday card.

Add the Winter Entwined Wreath to a piece of Clarity stencil card in Morning Mist Versafine Clair ink.

Add the small Polly from the Whimsy Mini Poppets set into the centre in the same ink.

Colour the images using Kuretake Clean Colour Brush pens (Haze Blue, Carmine Red, Green, Light Green, Yellow, Shadow Mauve, Warm Grey 1, Light Brown, Natural Beige).

Add clear glitter pen to the wings.

Add Happy 80th Birthday Mum next to Polly in Nocturne Versafine Clair ink using stamps from the Entwined Sentiments, Barbara’s Relations and the Numbers & Months stamp sets.

Die cut the topper using the 5” nested squares die and a mat from red card using the corresponding nested squares picot die.

Cut a further topper from bright green card using the 6” nested squares die and a mat from black card using the corresponding nested squares picot die.

To finish, mat up all the toppers and add them to the front of a 7” x 7” white card blank.
