WOYWW 600: Happy Landmark Share!

Welcome to the landmark 600th week of WOYWW on Julia's Stamping Ground.  I haven't been sharing my desk for anywhere near that long but I am so glad to join in today!  Congratulations Julia on such a long running blog hop and creating such a tribe/family/clan!

After a brief break from the daily drawing while very busy sample making, I started following the drawcember2020 prompts yesterday and have taken out my book today ready to spend 5-10 minutes drawing and relaxing before I leave for work.

I have been teaching from home via google classrooms for the last week, as hubby went for a Covid test on 23rd November and we have still not heard back from that despite much chasing.  He therefore went for another test on Monday this week.  The results for that came back negative yesterday, so I can finally return to teaching face to face today.  It has been very frustrating all round.  Now I just need to catch up with all the marking.

Here is a close up of yesterday's drawing in case you haven't seen it on Facebook.
Here are the prompts in case anyone else fancies joining in.  I have decided to finish after #28 and miss out #26 so there will be 27 drawings to finish off my first Daler-Rowney cartridge paper book.  Luckily I have another one to start catching up with inktober2019 after these are complete.  Thank you Margaret (Glitterandglue) for the fabulous Christmas card which came through the letterbox yesterday.  I am afraid that I shall not be sending out cards this year, but will make a charitable donation instead.  Stay safe and happy 600th WOYWW.  I can't wait to see everyone at the Zoom crop on Saturday!  I'll be around to visit after work this evening or tomorrow morning.

That snowy scene would make a beautiful card for Christmas Sarah you should look into getting them printed for future years. Good news about Hubby's negative test, I can imagine the frustration but happy all is well. Enjoy your inky December & Happy 600th WoywW Tracey xx

It's great to see how dedicated you are to your drawing, it must take real dedication to do it every day! Well done you... I would fall by the wayside I'm afraid!

Happy 600! IOt’s been lovely to get to know you over the past couple of years, hope it’ll continue for many more! The Drawing challenge looks interesting, I found myself think about what I would do for those prompts, I may well have a go! Glad your hubby’s test was negative, teaching remotely must be a major pain.

Hi Sarah. Liking the snowy picture! I just LOVE snow (preferably nowadays from the comfort and warmth of house or car...) Glad hubby's 2nd test has come back negative - and trust all goes well in the classroom today.
Take care. God bless.

I think these tests are all hit and miss . . . I had a doorstep test, back in 2 days. My friend is now on her third test and still waiting for results.
Thank goodness hubby's test was negative, there is only so much work that can be done on the PC. Makes me laugh when I think back to how staring at the screen was bad for you . . . .
have a good WOYWW, stay warm

Great collection of drawings you have now. Bet the children will be pleased to see you back too. Hope you've got a warm coat as it must be getting difficult now it's getting colder with having to teach with the windows open. Take care and have a very happy 600th woyww, Angela x19x

Lovely drawings and so nice to end in a planned way rather than unintentionally drifting out of things as I so often do! Glad your hubby has tested negative and you can resume your teaching. I'll hopefully meet you at the Zoom crop on Saturday all being well!
Stay safe and well,

Well I’m very extremely glad that the Covid test was negative, there does seem to be a section in every test area where they drop through the net...a girlfriend in Newbury had an identical experience having to have another test whilst waiting for first test results. Frustrating when you’re having to isolate, I get that. I looked at the list of prompts, and would have to leave 26 anyway. Next Gen games? No idea!!

Thanks for posting the drawings link, Sarah. I’m going to have a go!! See you on Saturday.

Wonderful to see you again, Sarah. I can't believe all that washi tape you have on your desk. Glad to read your husband is COVID free. I look forward to seeing your drawings, too. Happy 600th from #6.

Must be so much easier face to face teaching than remotely. This whole testing and isolation thing is so frustrating for everyone - you can't really plan anything! So glad I can just hide at home. Great little drawings, so disciplined of you to get it regularly. Happy 600th WOYWW, have a good week, stay well stay safe, Cindy xx #30

Hi, Sarah!
Glad things, and hubby, are well on the home front.

I like the Drawcember idea. It’s still early. Perhaps I could give it a try....I’m not very good at following through, lately. Gotten worse in retirement!

Hope to “see” you on the Zoom call, if my internet cooperates.

Stay well and Happy 600!

Kathryn

Glad your family is safe! Your drawings are awesome! I so envy those who have that talent. I am the only person in my family who can't draw. I think I started paper crafting in self-defense!

Have a great day!

Love the snowy scene! I can imagine it as a mixed media piece with inks and papers added! Sounds like a mess-up with the testing - lucky, the results were negative in the end. Happy #600, Sarah! See you on Saturday! zsuzsa #34

Hi Sarah, that's good news, hubby's test was negative, and you can get back to the classroom. The Drawcember certainly sounds a great idea - my only two problems are December is a busy month, and ... I can't draw. Otherwise I would join in. Happy 600th WOYWW - it's been great fun getting to know you over the past few years. Have a lovely week, Heather xx #25

I can't imagine how teachers have managed this year - my son was in school most of the time as he was one of 3 then 2 First Aiders available (the other 2 had underlying conditions and couldn't go in at all! I love the idea of drawing everyday and the scene in your first one looks brilliant! Hugs, Chrisxx 44

Hi Sarah, happy 600th. It must be good to be getting back to the classroom. Teaching from home can't be ideal. Not getting back the test result must have been really frustrating too. Your drawings are lovely and look forward to seeing each new one. Enjoy the crop on Saturday. Hugs, Elizabeth x #36

Hello! Happy WOYWW 600, and thanks for stopping by!

I miss Inktober every year so maybe I'll join in with Drawcember instead. I'm a bit perturbed by the Winter Solstice prompt being on 29th - I'd have to move that to the 22nd.

Just spotted your comment, Sarah - thank you! Lol at sitting on the kitties because they blend into the new furniture so well! I am making pretty good progress on the cat throw. Sorry to hear about your computer woes, and I hope you manage to get something up and running in time for Saturday.

Glad the test came back ok. Teaching by zoom must be very frustrating.
I love your snowy scene. As we lived in Werrington when I was a kid, snow for us meant Ash Bank being cut off by snow. I hope there’s not too much up there today; we’ve even had a dusting down here in Kent. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow
