WOYWW 833/53: A Zoom Get Together

Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks which is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?), the brainchild of Julia, who kindly entrusted it to me to continue after the first 15 years of togetherness.  Please feel free to link up your desk and visit others' - we are a friendly bunch.

My desk shows the fabulous ATC and card from Mary Anne which was waiting for me last week on my arrival home from work.  A lovely surprise.  I have posted my ATC off to Julia, without whom this whole camaraderie would never have begun.  It was lovely to catch up with Jan, Wipso, Twiglet, Lynnecrafts, Caro, BJ and Mary Anne via Zoom on Saturday - not so much a crop, but a chance to natter and catch up.

They should really have used this prompt for the 4th!
I have a meeting with parents of students who are going to Paris after school this evening, so it may be tomorrow morning before I visit.  As always stay safe and happy WOYWW.

WOYWW 832/52: Sweet Sixteen

Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks which is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?), the brainchild of Julia, who kindly entrusted it to me to continue after 15 years of togetherness.  Please feel free to link up your desk and visit others' - we are a friendly bunch.  Happy 16th anniversary everybody!

Regular desk visitors will notice that I am not at my usual desk.  I brought everything I needed for the online course inside where I can access the internet and have course still not got round to completing it.  The second lesson is this afternoon so I won't make it to that one either.  My desk shows my sweet 16 ATC made for the anniversary.  If you would like to participate in an actual swap then feel free to add an asterisk to your name, you will be posting your ATC to the next person on the list with an asterisk by their name (last person sends to first person).  Of course a virtual ATC on your desk is also completely fine.  The skull in the background (and all the clay) belongs to #3 son who uses it to help with his sculpting.
There have been some weird and wonderful prompts recently.
I only managed one (the others are under water lol).
Some of Barbara Gray's beautiful pottery.
No further explanation needed.

I have signed up for a free trial of Zoom Pro so the virtual crop on Saturday (1pm UK time) has been pencilled in for 2 hours.  You are free to pop in at any time for as long as you can make for a catch up.

The meeting ID is 353 333 5553.  If you drop me an email using the contact form on the blog, I will send you the passcode.

A close up of my virtual ATC.

Happy WOYWW everyone - here's to the next year of fellowship and friendship!

WOYWW 601: The Post Crop Flop

So here is my desk today as I get ready to do my daily December drawing as part of #drawcember2020.  Joining in again with the weekly blog hop and desk share at Stamping Ground.

It was so good to catch up with so many deskers at the two virtual crops on Saturday.  Also good to put more faces to names of people I consider friends.  Thank you Julia for organising these events.  About the only crafting I managed during the crops was my daily drawing, too busy listening, chatting and catching up otherwise - just like an actual WOYWW crop.
Neither crop fitted onto one screen.
And the evening get together was even larger.
With deskers joining in from the USA and Canada.
I thought I'd show you my December drawings so far.

I'll be round to visit tomorrow morning as I have a meeting after school this evening.  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW everyone.

WOYWW 600: Happy Landmark Share!

Welcome to the landmark 600th week of WOYWW on Julia's Stamping Ground.  I haven't been sharing my desk for anywhere near that long but I am so glad to join in today!  Congratulations Julia on such a long running blog hop and creating such a tribe/family/clan!

After a brief break from the daily drawing while very busy sample making, I started following the drawcember2020 prompts yesterday and have taken out my book today ready to spend 5-10 minutes drawing and relaxing before I leave for work.

I have been teaching from home via google classrooms for the last week, as hubby went for a Covid test on 23rd November and we have still not heard back from that despite much chasing.  He therefore went for another test on Monday this week.  The results for that came back negative yesterday, so I can finally return to teaching face to face today.  It has been very frustrating all round.  Now I just need to catch up with all the marking.

Here is a close up of yesterday's drawing in case you haven't seen it on Facebook.
Here are the prompts in case anyone else fancies joining in.  I have decided to finish after #28 and miss out #26 so there will be 27 drawings to finish off my first Daler-Rowney cartridge paper book.  Luckily I have another one to start catching up with inktober2019 after these are complete.  Thank you Margaret (Glitterandglue) for the fabulous Christmas card which came through the letterbox yesterday.  I am afraid that I shall not be sending out cards this year, but will make a charitable donation instead.  Stay safe and happy 600th WOYWW.  I can't wait to see everyone at the Zoom crop on Saturday!  I'll be around to visit after work this evening or tomorrow morning.
