WOYWW 601: The Post Crop Flop

So here is my desk today as I get ready to do my daily December drawing as part of #drawcember2020.  Joining in again with the weekly blog hop and desk share at Stamping Ground.

It was so good to catch up with so many deskers at the two virtual crops on Saturday.  Also good to put more faces to names of people I consider friends.  Thank you Julia for organising these events.  About the only crafting I managed during the crops was my daily drawing, too busy listening, chatting and catching up otherwise - just like an actual WOYWW crop.
Neither crop fitted onto one screen.
And the evening get together was even larger.
With deskers joining in from the USA and Canada.
I thought I'd show you my December drawings so far.

I'll be round to visit tomorrow morning as I have a meeting after school this evening.  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW everyone.

I'm so glad you showed these screens, because some of us, including my black hole were not showing on Helen's blog screen capture. I SO enjoyed the crops and felt like I was actually there. Your sketches are amazing. I am in awe, since I can't draw anything. These are fabulous.

I can just imagine the fun you had at the virtual crop, glad so many joined in. Technology is not my thing and I dare not mess with any settings on this set up, maybe a real crop one day.. here's to the future. Loving the inky draws, the last looks dressed up for winter. Happy WoywW Tracey x

Good to see your daily drawings, this is something you have to keep up with now or we will miss them.
How clever of you to do the screen grabs - my screen did not look like yours, I had one person and then a row at the top of tiny people. Must find out what I should have done.
Good to see you on Saturday.

Happy WOYWW. Thank you for sharing the Zoom screens. Fantastic sketches. I am getting a daily email from Johanna Basford with some fairly simple drawings to do. Not started yet! Ali x #16

I didn’t get much done either, just a few rows of the crochet blanket! It was good to see you again and great to meet so many new deskers too. Keep up with the December drawings, I do enjoy seeing them.

It was lovely seeing you on Saturday, I really enjoyed seeing everyone and putting faces to names! I love your drawings - the turkey is fabulous, I don't think I'd know where to begin on drawing one of those!
Have a great week,

Hi Sarah, the Zoom crop was great, wasn't it? Putting more faces to names, funny how we get an image in our heads of people, then seeing them for real, they're rarely anything like we expect.I'm sure we can do more of them, even when we can go to the 'real' ones. Love seeing all your drawings.Stay safe, have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #12. X

Hello, Sarah!
Aren’t you clever?! I took a picture too, but didn’t even think to post it! But at least now I have proof that my friends aren’t invisible!

Fun wasn’t it? I didn’t “do” anything either. Just trying to put names and faces together.

Stay safe and well!

Happy Wednesday!

Kathryn

I do apologise that I had my back to you on one of those screen shots, I was probably fiddling around with something!

Hi, Sarah,

Thanks for sharing your screen! I could not attend the Zoom session (Saturday is my Shabbos) so it is nice just to attach names and faces to some people.

Love your drawings!

Hi Sarah, you're so right it was brilliant on Saturday and can't wait to do it again. I thought I'd never get to the posts today, three deliveries of craft stuff, one delivery of a surprise raffle prize, walking dogs, sorting mum's vaccination, trying to finish some cards and that's without the usual stuff like cooking Lol! Loving your new collection of drawings too. Wishing you a lovely creative week, Angela x19x

Hi Sarah,

Great shots of the crop. I only saw one person at a time on my little tablet, quite frustrating! I shall have to make other arrangements for any future Zoom crops. All your drawings are fab - must be great to be able to sketch like that. I have zero artistic talent in that department (or any other to be honest). Have a lovely week, Heather xx #17

I seemed to have missed all screen shots but yours are great to refer to. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Sue #24 xxx

HI Sarah, ooh It looks like that is definitely something you'd want to do with a computer rather than a cell phone. ( In my mind I was picturing facetime or skype I guess) so seeing all those mugshots at once made me realize, when I do get real internet at home, I'd have to also figure out a spot to have a computer too.

its funny how often my brain goes off in left field looking at desk shots eh? your sketches look awesome too. ~Stacy #35

Hi Sarah, great to see you and everyone on the Zoom session on Saturday. I found it quite difficult with so many people all talking at once and not being able to get a word in edgeways though! My hubby said it was chaos - unlike his regular Zoom meetings with various groups which he said were really orderly be comparison!! Your screen grabs were great. I'm glad a lot of people chose to do that - nice to see all the pictures again. I'm glad you enjoyed seeing the kitties - they were both around, fortunately (they're never far away from us as they love the company!) and they behaved pretty well too! Of course they are very used to being on the sharp end of a camera so weren't phased. They are already quite the little online stars, aren't they!

Your drawings are really fun, as always. I liked the bundled up one particularly - that's how I feel a lot of the time!!

Thanks for your visit and for your good wishes re the progress on my hospital saga. I hope your lumbar puncture went off OK and didn't leave you with too severe a headache afterwards, and most of all, that it will give you the answers you are looking for. Also that setting up your new laptop goes well - that's a job that can take ages and be quite frustrating!!

Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi x #18
