WOYWW 569: Three Weeks To Go

Only three weeks to go to the 11th anniversary of What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.  That is an impressive length of time for a weekly link up to have been taking place and it is thanks to Julia at The Stamping Ground (ably supported by  Lunch Lady Jan), that it has kept going for so long.  So here's my contribution for this week.
As you can probably tell, my desk has been shamelessly staged this week.  All the tags that I have made in the last fortnight are on display (the last four will be blogged on Saturday and Sunday).  Tom and Peter are still keeping me company and I have a new book on the go (Peace comes to the Chalet School by Katherine Bruce).  It seems an appropriate book to be reading at present, as we approach the 75th anniversary of VE Day on May 8th.  I have also looked out my Clarity postcards, ready for the colouring sessions with Barbara Gray on FB live starting next week (10am every weekday morning).  I am working from home today and like to get an early start so I can take a short break at 10am to catch the live doodle session from the SHAC shack.
I thought I'd better show a close up of the seahorse card that was on my desk last week as so many asked about it.  The stamp is from Claritystamp, designed by Cherry Green and it is done on watercolour card.  I can't say more, as I made it as part of an online workshop with Maria Moorhouse.  I have just sent off for her second, distance stamp class, so await a package of materials through the post.
I'll be along to visit later today.  A shout out to the Y8 pupils and the lovely Y7 pupils who made a video, in response to the one made by the staff.  I'll finish with the tag that I shared as part of that video.

Happy WOYWW. An impressive array of tags. The seahorse card is even more glorious close up, and I love the rainbow tag (did you hand draw the rainbows, or is it a stamp?). Beautiful words on it. Ali x #1

Gorgeous cards and tags, you are not alone in staging your projects. Sometimes there is so little space to see what I have been working on. Have a lovely week and stay safe.

Morning Sarah. Glad that you’re shameless about the staging of the desk, it’s absolutely not an issue when it shows such lovely productivity to our advantage! Saw on FB that you’ve got a new alpha set this week, so look forward to seeing that in use. Enjoy the colouring sessions!

Wow, Sarah, those tags are fabulous... I’d love to see close-ups of them all. From what I can see, the “big fish” on has to be my favourite, closely followed. By “shades of grey” but then I’m a sucker for anything to do with the sea! I love your seahorse card for the same reason - and the fact that it’s so beautifully executed! It sounds as if you are busy as usual. The book sounds interesting too - I might look out for that in my Audible subscription. I always enjoy novels set in the war years.

Happy WOYWW,

What a gorgeous seahorse he is. Thanks for the bigger picture - and love your rainbow tag! But then you have loads of tags on display - they all look rather exciting but one caught my eye - the one with the grey trousers on - I would love to see a close up of that fella.
So good to see so much crafting from you, really enjoyed your post more than ever this morning - a good snoop at your tags on your desk was just the ticket!
Hugs, stay safe and well

Gorgeous tags Sarah, who cares if it's staged? (Mine always needs a bit of a helping hand as otherwise it would be a heap of stuff...) Dolike that seahorse card, simple but stunning. Enjoy your colouring!! Happy WOYWW, stay safe, stay well, Cindy #18

Your tags are fabulous and I love the Big Fish one especially, it really caught my eye. Thanks for the close up of the seahorse - it really is stunning and definitely deserves to be in a frame on the wall.

Hi Sarah. Thanks for your visit - and being so polite and not mentioning that my post this morning is in a muddle. I'm afraid word press wasn't playing properly today - even when I went back and tried to edit the thing!!
The close up of your card is lovely - I like seahorses... no idea why, I just like them! Great set of tags - and I don't think anyone minds a staged desk! It's just good to see how everyone is passing their time at the moment. I like the rainbows - and how good to see they had 7 colours!! The mnemonic doesn't work if colours are missed, does it? Don't know what you learned, but for me it was Richard Of York Gained Battle In Vain
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

Thanks for visiting, Sarah - glad you like my recent cards. We are very pleased with the garden which is really repaying all my hubby's hard work. My involvement in it is purely advisory lol!! - and making use of it to sit in the sun!

Hi Sarah,

That seahorse card is well worth a closer look, it's really lovely.

I never read the Chalet School books growing up, and they seem to be rather hard to come by now - but a few people have recommended them so I will have to keep an eye out when I'm next on a charity shop trawl!
No time to post this week, just seeing what everyone else is up to!
Have a good week.
