I was really challenged by the colour combination for this art journal page, following the prompts for April over on Mission Inspiration. The colours chosen were Royal Purple, Postbox Red and Grass Green (not a combination I would have gone for myself), so I hope you like my finished page. The prompt title was 'Music feed the Soul' and the five prompt words for this month were Music / Dance / song / Melody / Soul.
Add Crushed Grape Dylusions paint to a page in the Strathmore visual journal using a foam tool.
Mask off part of the Finest Music frame from Claritystamp and stamp the music stave in Versamark ink, then heat emboss with white embossing powder.
Add ‘Feeds the Soul’ through the Clarity ABC stencil in Cut Grass Dylusions paint, masking off each letter separately and drying before moving on.
Stamp the dancing couple from Wee Folk 5 in Versamark ink and heat emboss with red metallic embossing powder.
Colour the hearts in the music stave with an embossing pen and heat emboss in the same red powder. Add the hearts from Wee Folk 6 in the same manner as the couple. Go round the lettering with a white gel pen. To finish, add another set of hearts in the top left corner in the same way as before and go round both sets of hearts with a white gel pen.
