Old Style Decoupage

I rarely use decoupage pictures any more; especially if I have to cut them out by hand.  Sometimes, however,  older techniques can be really effective if you are catering for a specific occasion and a person's specific interest to personalize a card.

As you can see, this card was made for a wine lover's birthday, which is reflected in both the colour scheme and the content of the card.  I cut the trowel and fork using my Cricut machine and the Walk in My Garden cartridge; they were cut from white card and coloured using ProMarkers. The colour scheme for the card was dictated by the Dufex decoupage image of the wine bottle, grapes and glass.  The 'Dad' stamp - by DoCrafts/Papermania was stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento ink; coloured using the same palette of ProMarkers as the numbers and cut out.

The numbers were stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento ink; over stamped using the grapes wooden back stamp by Papercraft 4 You; coloured using ProMarkers and cut out.  Each element was matted and layered onto co-ordinating card.  The base card was made from a piece of dark green A4 card, scored and folded in half to form a landscape blank.
