First Anniversary - Rainbow Wedding

One year on from the wedding, I really enjoyed making a bespoke anniversary card; after all the first anniversary is paper!

As you can see, I carried over the rainbow colour scheme as well as the fact that the bride, groom and flower girl all wore converse shoes for the wedding.  The base card is a pre-made white 20cm x 20cm blank.  I cut a piece of white pearlescent paper 18.5cm x 18.5 cm and used Archival ink in Fern Green, Vermilion, Deep Purple and Manganese Blue to stamp the Splattered Heart stamp by Indigoblu into each of the corners.  These were then over stamped randomly using black Archival ink and the Happily Ever After stamp by Hobbycraft, leaving space for the first anniversary stamp from the Anniversaries collection by Woodware.
On a separate piece of white pearlescent card, I stamped and heat embossed the 'Like, Like, Like' stamp (also by Hobbycraft); cut out the image; mounted it onto black, glitter, pearlescent paper and used a small round circle die to cut a narrow mat.
The sneakers were stamped separately, using archival ink on white pearlescent paper and cut out.  Before the black sneaker was coloured in using a Black Soot Distress Marker, the areas which I wanted to keep white were masked off using Pebeo drawing gum.  Once the colouring was finished, the drawing gum was erased, leaving the white pearl finish on show.  The three sneakers were cut out; matted together onto the same black, glitter, pearlescent paper and cut out, leaving a narrow border around the image.  The background panel was also matted onto black, glitter, pearlescent paper, before being stuck onto the card blank.
