Christmas Bauble Pocket

This card isn't quite finished; it was made using scraps of Christmas papers and card.  I haven't decided whether to add some ribbon for hanging it from a tree, or make a stand to display it like a decorative plate.  What do you think?

I cut two 14cm circles; one from dark green card and one from red backing card with a Merry Christmas Sentiment in white. I also cut a 13cm circle from some white card with a holly pattern.  The green circle was scored straight across at 10cm to create a flap; the holly circle was cut straight across at 10cm and the two pieces matted onto the green.
Before I stuck the holly mat to the flap, I added a piece of scrap red and white gingham ribbon underneath that I have had lying around for ages.  The flap is held down with foam pads.  Once the front panel was complete, it was glued to the 'Merry Christmas' panel keeping the glue to the edge only so that a pocket was created.  To fill the pocket, I cut the larger of the Decorative tags by Marianne Creatables out of gold mirri card and attached a fancy foiled tag from my stash with a small brad; the Merry Christmas sentiment is a gold peel off.  A short length of narrow, red satin ribbon (1/8") finished the tag.

The front of the card was decorated using scraps of matching card and small brads; gold and red card, using the Marianne Miniature Poinsettia dies and the Vintage Flourish by Joy crafts from the same green card as used to form the front panel of the bauble.  The flourish has been glued on flat and the poinsettias added with foam pads for extra dimension.  I'm not entirely happy with the red colour of the Merry Christmas background, as I'm not sure that it matches the other red tones, but I was playing around and using up scraps, so next time I may take more time to check.
