We Support Our Local Team!

As a season ticket holder at our local football (soccer) team, Stoke City: currently languishing at the foot of the Premiership - but not for long; I always find that cards which reflect that support go down really well.  This particular card is easily adapted to fit whomever your local team is (or your sporting preference)!
We love you city, we do!

It's always easy to choose a colour scheme when making a card relating to a sports' team; in this case, red and white.  I folded a piece of A4 red card in half to make an A5 landscape card blank.  The background was made using an image of the club crest from a piece of wrapping paper, copied multiple times and printed off in colour.  Two of the Typography numbers by Docrafts / Papermania were stamped onto white card using black Archival ink; over stamped using the word background stamp from the Football Mad (Aspects of Design 16) stamp set by The Stamp Man and cut out. They were then stuck onto a piece of red pearlescent card (8cm x 10cm) and matted onto black card, leaving a narrow border.  The 'today' stamp from the same set was stamped separately and matted and layered in the same way.

The 'football' stamp comes from Sport Set 1 by Personal Impressions.  This time I used black Versafine ink and detail clear embossing powder to create a raised stamped surface, as I was intending to colour the image using my ProMarkers.  The stamp was slightly adapted, by adding stripes to the football shirt to match the team.  Once coloured in, the image was trimmed to 9cm x 4.5cm and matted and layered onto red, then black card.  Finally the toppers were added to the front of the card.
