If Life hands you Lemons...

I decided to get away from winter themes and create something a little brighter; after all it is the time for office parties!  I ended up creating two similar tags.  (I know that it is a Margarita glass, but it was the closest I could find LOL.)

Three Colour Fun!

This journal page was created following the prompts for October 2017 on Mission Inspiration.  As you can see, I am a little behind and the new prompt which appears on the first Saturday of the month gave me the impetus to complete the previous challenge.  I decided on my key word first (from the list of five) and once I'd found the quote to go with it, I was off and running.

With Sympathy

This card was made for a crafty friend whose father recently died; his funeral is tomorrow.  She is a lovely lady who does a great deal for others and I wish her all the best at this sad time.

WOYWW 415: Crafting with a Friend

Hooray,  I have crafting company again and I have really missed it.  So I can once again share my friend's side of the desk too.  If you want to know why, head over to the Stamping Ground, where our hostess Julia will explain!
My side of the desk, with a half finished journal page.  I had already used sprays on the background, when my friend arrived with her card board box and a determination to play with sprays and masks/stencils. Great minds think alike.  You can also see the embossing powder and Versamark ink out ready to start stamping and embossing the quote 'Some see a weed, some see a wish.'  I usually drink Coconut Latte when crafting, as it tastes almost as nice cold as it does hot (a definite requirement when I am crafting).
My friend's side of the desk with sprays, masks and cardboard box at the ready.

The finished pieces and mop up sheets.
Sorry if I do not get to visit everyone until the weekend.  I have a hair appointment today, a visit to the nurse and I also have to go into work as there is a parents' evening later.

Journal52 Week 19: See

This is the page that I created for week 19 of Journal52 led by Effy Wild; you can find a list of the prompts HERE.  This week's prompt was 'see' and I found a lovely quote, which led to a really quick page.

First Ever Art Journal Page

I have had an empty Art Journal for nearly a year and the pages have scared me to death.  By chance, I happened to come across the Mission Inspiration group on Facebook and liked the idea of having to follow a set of instructions to create an art journal page.  I therefore accepted August's mission and I'm really happy with my first attempt.

Playing with Colour

As I have now completed my distress ink collection and have a good selection of the spray stains, I thought that it was time that I started playing a bit more with them.  When I'm playing, my current 'go to' surfaces are the #8 Manilla Tags from Ranger and Sheena Douglass stamping card; both can cope really well with water and allow blending as they do not have a high chalk content.
I don't know where I will be going from here yet, but I'm enjoying the process.
